We travelled with Jet2 and booked this as a last minute holiday during October half term.
Transfer time is 60 mins
We arrived at 2am Turkish time and was one of two families arriving at the same time. We were met with a warm smile and quick check in service. We had been upgraded to a family room (not in the main building) free of charge. (see below for more info on rooms) I couldn't believe it but I was so happy it really made my evening after a long day of travelling. Has a free bell boy service. There are no extra blankets or pillows. We had one single sheet for my child and a single sized waffle sheet for myself and my husband to share? Not sure if that's how it was supposed to be but that's what we got. Our room was not cleaned once in the week but housekeeping did top up the water in the mini fridge and emptied the bins.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Their English is limited but they really do try. They are such a great and happy bunch of people. Their uniform is smart and regardless of where you see them, they always smile.
Extras: there is a spa here providing a variety of lovely treatments, you must book for treatments.
The hotel has an on site hair salon. There is also an in-house doctor
Drinking Water - there are fridges dotted about all over the place with access to fresh cool bottled water 24:7. Very handy and an excellent touch.
Main Pool - always clean and tidy. At this time of year, the pools are cold but are fine once you're in. The pool by the main building is vast and has a shallow area for the children. There are goals here for playing with a ball and inflatables are allowed. There is an on site shop available for this but of course the nearby shops are less expensive. Lots of sunbeds. No fighting over them.
Patisserie - yes you read right! There is a patisserie serving scooped icecream (vanilla, strawberry and chocolate) available in corners or cups. They also have biscuits, hot drinks and cakes. Only open between 2-5pm.
A la carte - there are two a la carte restaurants situated next to the patisserie. You have to book these in advance and are €20 per person.
Main pool snack bar. - delicious chicken, lamb and chicken sausage wraps with salad available here and there's a bar too.
Waves bar - serves drinks for most of the day and night. Again wonderful friendly and quick service. Cocktails are lovely - try the San fransisco and there is no extra charge for this. We had a rum and coke but didn't enjoy the flavour so avoided that. The lager is excellent. Hot tea and coffee is also served here.
Aqua park - fantastic area with a beautiful garden, showers, toilets and a snack bar and drinks bar. The aquapark is split into two. One with small slides and water jets and the other with large slides. There is a life guard on hand too. Lots of sunbeds here too. No fighting for one. Plenty of parasols too. The jets and slides are turned off between 12-2 for lunch. They finish at 4pm for the night.
Aquapark bar and snack bar. - serves hot food and cold salads. There is also a mini freezer serving the best flavour twister icecreams.
Kids club - friendly and secure kids club with a locked door and reception staff. My child loved it and made friends there. They have a ball pit, play area, gaming area, sleep area and painting and crafting area. The staff are very friendly and professional and provide fun entertainment for all ages and where you can relax too! It's situated next to...
Read moreOur stay at Greenwood Resort in Kemer was truly enjoyable. The resort's impeccable presentation and comprehensive facilities made for an outstanding holiday experience. The pools were not only beautiful but the surprise Aqua Park left us pleasantly amazed. While the website didn't clearly indicate its location, perhaps a photo update would provide clarity. Securing a spot around the main pool can be competitive due to the usual towel-related challenges, but the Aqua Park area sees less early morning rush.
Drinks were consistently available throughout the day, maintaining a high standard. Though we faced a challenge finding suitable options for our girls (mostly syrup-based), we managed to dilute these. The dining experience was very good, with breakfast served at the main restaurant offering a great selection. Lunch options were available at the main restaurant, Aqua Park pool bar, and the beach bar. While there were fewer choices at the pool and beach bars, it was still more than adequate.
We particularly enjoyed the freshly made flatbreads and excellent doughnuts from the beach bar. The resort's efforts to minimise waste were evident, though food waste after meals remained a concern which was heartbreaking for us as I am sure it is for the resort staff. Reusable cups usage was commendable, but we suggest replacing disposable cutlery at the beach bar with metal ones. Additionally, offering an option to refill water bottles could be beneficial, even though it might present waste challenges. The increasing focus on recycling during our stay was a positive step forward.
Our room, while not exactly as expected, served its purpose considering the time spent inside. Housekeeping was friendly and efficient, even addressing minor repairs promptly. The shared circuit air conditioning, though energy-efficient, required some adjustment. Unfortunately, smoke from neighbouring rooms posed a problem due to the shared system. Despite our requests for help, the attempted fixes didn't fully resolve the issue.
The pools, especially the Aqua Park, were fantastic and a hit with both children and adults. The inflatable ring slide was intense and not recommended for very young children. The vigilant lifeguard team ensured safety. The kids' club kept our girls entertained, and while there was an optional craft activity, there was no pressure to participate. The mini disco, though repetitive in song choices, was loved by our kids. Evening entertainment, while good, leaned towards personal preferences like acrobatics.
The kids' club banana boat tour was a highlight, and the staff's helpfulness, politeness, and friendliness were commendable. My wife praised the professional quality of her massage package. We also purchased some in-house photos, though a revised pricing structure might encourage more purchases. The same applies to hair braiding; a slightly lower price could have led to more takers. The daytime activities were well-organised, and Benny's friendly demeanour stood out.
The designated beach area was well-managed, and we often found seating. Taking advantage of the neighbouring resort's floating pontoon was a great addition. In summary, our stay at Greenwood Resort was filled with positive experiences, making it a memorable holiday...
Read moreOur recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of a disaster. The customer service is abysmal—unless you’re fluent in Turkish, good luck communicating with the staff. They are rude and dismissive, and absolutely unhelpful when it comes to accommodating disabled guests. Despite requesting an accessible room, none was provided. For wheelchair users, this place is a nightmare. There are only two small lifts, which barely fit a wheelchair. My wheelchair is compact, yet it was still a struggle to maneuver inside. The staff are shockingly inconsiderate, wheeling you around without asking, which is both intrusive and demeaning. I lost count of how many times I had to tell them to stop touching me. As for the food—calling it awful would be an understatement. Today’s options were mackerel or liver, which I’m sure the kids loved (not!). The meals are repetitive, with breakfast items showing up for lunch and dinner. Hygiene is also a serious issue; every table came with its very own fly. On top of that, you might even get treated to the smell of fresh paint or gloss while you eat, as maintenance teams apparently think meal times are the perfect opportunity to redecorate. The dining experience is also ruined by the overly eager staff who snatch your plate or glass away before you’re even done—blink and it’s gone! This is honestly the first holiday I’ve been on where I’ve lost weight. Housekeeping? Non-existent. We stayed for 10 days and our room wasn’t cleaned once. You’ll want to bring your own toilet paper too, as the hotel doesn’t seem to consider it a necessity. Accessibility aside, even able-bodied guests should avoid this place. The grass next to the pool was being cut midday, sending debris flying onto sunbeds. The lifeguards? Far from attentive. They were too busy playing catch in the pool to actually do their job. When we raised concerns with guest relations about safety, they lied and claimed the lifeguards were clearing glass from the pool. Out of our group of four, three of us ended up with food poisoning. The only positive note was the bar staff, particularly “Mordo,” who was genuinely kind and provided excellent service. To anyone considering staying here, especially wheelchair users—don’t. This place is a discriminatory, unsafe mess, with horrendous service and conditions unfit...
