I normally try to look out the positives, when Im in a challenging situations to keep me going, especially when I'm looking after a family away from homeland, but and there is always a "BUT". This hotel (later on this Country), knocked out all the concepts of hospitality, customer service, guest relations, food and beverage and many more from how things should be to how they ran the operations in this hotel, which was a complete shambles.
The hotel is about 90 minutes away from the airport, which is another trip to add on over 4 hours flight, I was in peace with that and no problem as I knew when I was booking, the hits start coming along, arrived at the hotel, no one speaks English, a genuine struggle to explain things using Google translator😄, having saying that I kept being positive, in a hope it's going to be a great holiday for me, kids and the other 3 families ( close friends). Went to the room, a state of a shock ( I will post the photos), all what I can say the room was super outdated, unclean, no housekeeping do pre check-in, no towels, no soap, locker broken, went down to the reception and told them about this, all by signs and Google translate. Give them credit, after couple of hours I went back up to the room and got all this sorted.
Now to make it easier to read: Housekeeping everyday: NONE, they just put towels and toilet papers, they don't clean the room or even bothered to change the sheets.
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner do rotate the food between the three meals, all leftovers get warmed up and presented the very next day, same food same menu. Food quality is far from average, below average is an understatement and I won't go further to explain what we have ate.
Animation: haven't seen a single person or animation activity during our stay.
Staff: don't speak English, grumpy, and trying to be smart and wrap up dinner, lunch or breakfast before the closing time, they have been caught in arguments with other guests regarding this many times.
Attitude: they are coming from a manhood dominance culture, don't accept to be instructed or asked by a woman, they feel it is something big. This point in specific we have experienced, one of the ladies in our group confronted one of the staff as of why they wrap up food earlier before the close time, he was waving and pointing with his finger ( which is a big thing for us) shouting and saying " don't shout, I'm not your SLAVE", the situation was escalated in a very not nice way I would say, we went to the manager to complain, and he again don't speak English, we felt we are going nowhere with this, to even have a civilised conversation with someone!!
Drivers: if you are going out of the hotel to have activities elsewhere or visiting the old town and have a PROPER dinner outside, they intentionally stop at certain service areas and disappear for about 10 to 20 minutes, the service area people force you to come and "have a look" and of course you end up buying something, once this happens the driver comes back to the car and hit the road, this happened with us twice.
Overall conclusion: A country that don't speak English, always keen to know your ethnic origin, and based on the "answer" they either treat you well or "otherwise", we had the second treatment 🙄.
A country that I won't visit again for sure, not just the hotel.
Please be aware and vigilant to all the hotels reviews as fake ones are being posted, we had conversation with other fellow British visitors who more or less had the same experience.
I wish everyone not to have such an experience and enjoy...
Read moreWhen entering the hotel after a long day travelling (4am) we got that wow feeling about the lobby and entrance. We checked in, getting asked if we would like to upgrade to a pool and sea view we passed on this and got put facing the mountain view which was good for us as the sun didn't hit our balcony and we were able to keep the room cool (with the air conditioning) during the whole of our stay. We met with the hotels guest relations the first morning and booked the quad trip, and we're then shown around the hotel and the spa which was good. Our room was cleaned every day and floors were done too and bin was emptied. There are two switches at the front door one saying please clean and one saying do no disturb house keeping watch these to see if people want the room serviced. So to the room it's self it's somewhere to get your head down there's a TV, kettle, mini fridge (only works when key is in slot) air con. Tea coffee ect. bedding was changed 3 times when we were there. The shower did enjoy trying the spill out on the bathroom floor but this was solved by placing a towel there. The food was ok there was plenty there I never went hungry. Pool was massive and seen the cleaners there every night when pool was closed. Slides were good (open 10am till 12 pm and 2pm till 4pm)both round the pool and and the water park. Seen some kids playing on the slides after they were turned off and there parents watching on as they slid down dry slides with loud screeching and then a few tears after it. We never struggled to get sunbeds round the pool or down the beach and we didn't put towels out earlier than us getting there to spend the day there, we did go for lunch one day and come back to the beds to find the little table had gone and our stuff was on the floor, but there was plenty not in use so we used our feet and walked to were there was spare one and got that. We were also on the sunbeds one day and someone ( might of been 2 people)came behind us and just took the sun umbrella fair enough it wasn't up that's because we were sunbathing and would require some shade later on in the day.(These were not problems with the hotel but with the people that were there). The bars were good for soft drinks and mocktails ( I didn't drink alcohol) the bar staff are friendly and will have a chat with you, In the lobby bar balcony area there was a lovely lady collecting the glasses and brought us some nuts what was a lovely gesture. I'm not sure on entertainment at the hotel as we only ever heard and seen the man who deals with the darts game but we were never hassled off them as we have been in the past at other hotels. The hotel has some shops and arcades on the ground floor, when browsing you were never bothered off them and just left to get on. The WiFi was in all areas even at the beach But who goes on holiday to be stuck with there face in there phone. We didn't notice any power cuts. Overall we enjoyed our time at casa fora and have come home refreshed. We will more than likely return at some point with more...
Read moreThere's nothing around the area of the hotel in walking distance so be prepared to taxi if you want to leave. The reception entrance is grand and clean with welcoming staff but what a let down the rest of the hotel was. |Our bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned from the previous guests. Long hairs in the sink, shower and all over the floor of the bedroom. Lots of dust and fluff around the vanity unit and a shower door which was just covered in shampoo. The shower was mouldy in-between the tiles ( which were broken!). Bits of soap in the sink and dirty toilet. Broken sink basin and the shower only got hot twice when we were there. The whole hotel is filthy. The hair/ fluff and general dirt was still in our room for the full 7 days. |The food is horrible and you can't find clean cutlery/plates or table to sit at. The kitchen staff just stand around doing literally nothing and people have to sit at dirty tables. They serve chips for breakfast in the foodhall but not at lunch or dinner. Everything is undercooked and luke warm. We got a taxi and ate out 4 nights out of 7. They don't seem to cater or care about English at all in either food or hospitality. Everything everywhere is either broken, dirty or a deathtrap. People slipping around the pool and tripping on broken tiles and falling and staff didn't even attend to them. The only person who works is the one person behind the bar who never stops as he is the only one serving drinks. Be prepared to stand in the queue for 20 mins for a drink. The staff are mainly lazy, rude and don't seem to attend to the English in any way.|When we arrived I had no top sheet on my bed just a small wool blanket. No extra pillows or duvet in the wardrobe (apparently other rooms have) After 2 days of asking for a sheet i got one myself off the cleaners trolley. The next day she cleaned my room and took my sheet away and pinched one of my sisters pillows! I was left with the wool cover again and my sister only had one pillow. I eventually gave up. The glass bannister along the hallway was covered in suncream when we arrived and still there when we left.|We had 5 rooms booked and they were all terrible. The disabled one still hadn't had a cleaner on day 4 until they complained to reception. We were taking toilet paper from the public toilets. I could honestly write a book on this hotel. |I would class this hotel as 3 star.|Certainly nothing like other Turkish hotels. The shop is a rip off. £6.50 for pringles. £5 marsbar.|On a plus side the slides are good. Be careful not to trip over the mat at the bar. The staff just step over it and dont even pull it straight when it kinks up. When I tripped they just looked at me and didn't even ask if i was ok or even straighten the mat. It is a uphill walk back through the tunnel from the slides to the hotel that may be a struggle for...
