Hello,|||| I was there from 1st to 10th of October.|||| I want to mention from the beginning that I have never posted a hotel review. I had the opportunity to stay in many hotels during my vacations.|| Someone must tell the real truth. I will mention not only the negative ones. || 1) The Internet is quite good even on the 2nd floor and it's free.|| 2) Every morning at 10 and 11 a.m. there is a free minivan (very old) that transports you from the hotel to Blue Beach and back at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. free of charge.|| 3) The sunbed allocated to this hotel is also free.|| 4) The only members of the hotel staff who are really realistic and polite are the young waiter, about 22-25 years old, and the receptionist (also a man) of about the same age. By chance, these two speak and understand English. In total, 3 members of the hotel understand and speak English. I think the 3rd is the manager or even the owner, but I will come back to him later because it is good to know what kind of fake person he is. || What is negative: the food! me and my wife not being picky and we don't have any allergies to the ingredients either! We went "half board" but we regretted it because for the same price and the same 10 days I was in Alanya in May at the Club Big Blue Suite Hotel and almost everything was super, food, staff(all inclusive!).|| Every morning at Spring it was the same boring food, boiled eggs, some boiled vegetables without a bit of taste. Someone said here what a great barbecue near the pool on weekends, wrong! Only once a week (Tuesday) - I know because I stayed for 10 days and I saw it twice. That was really tasty and that so-called chef would give you drumstick and then look at you like "what, isn't it enough?"|| But what bothered me the most was the following incident: I am a heavy smoker and I insured myself by taking with me everything related to rolled cigarettes (tobacco, filters, papers and especially the rolling machine). Spain when I couldn't find some of these things and that's why I insured myself during my stay in Turkey.|| One of the afternoons before leaving the room I hung the "Do not disturb" sign on the outside of the door handle because we don't want them to clean our room because it was clean. Ofcourse when we cameback around 5pm that sign it was no longer on the door but inside, the cleaning lady had arranged the room again and threw all my things related to cigarettes in the trash who knows where. Basically, it was a bag with all these items, items very difficult to find in other countries, exept tobacco.|| I went to the reception and this time it wasn't that young man who speaks English so I tried to explain to the ladies who are part of the manager's family what happened. Finally they called the manager and he arrived after about 30 min.I explained the whole phase that I posted that sign on the door and it's no excuse that the cleaner doesn't know English, working in the hospitality for many years she should know what it means.|| I told him that the easiest thing is to call that lady and retrieve that bag from the garbage in which he threw it because it doesn't bother me. He insisted that he would take me by car and buy everything for me.We have searched in 2 tobacco shops and couldn't find the rolling machine I needed, but he paid for another device that I knew didn't work in my case. For the rest of items I have paid.Ofcourse I couldn't roll up my ussual cigarettes and next day I finally found after few hours some rolling machine almost similar.|| After another day or 2 I tried to book a trip locally and the person from that agency had to come and meet us to pay and issue my trip tickets, at the Spring hotel. He called me to guide him to get to the hotel😁. Being in front of the hotel and seeing "His Majesty" the manager, I asked him to speak on the phone to explain to that individual how to get to the hotel. He replied exactly like this: "I help you every time!!!"He took the phone from my hand visibly irritated and from the tone of his voice he scolded that man (he confirmed it to me when we finally met). I had to cancel that trip, I apologized to that gentleman saying- and that if I civilly invited him to the hotel reception to make the necessary papers, I would create even bigger problems in this manager's empire.|| Poor manager, in his mind he considered it a very big favor that he drove me to 2 stores and only bought me that cigarette rolling machine (which cost about £1.50)leaving me to pay for the rest. || I got even more angry thinking this way, if I had forgotten my wallet or passport in that bag due to negligence or too much relaxation?!?|| Message for the 30's ladies from Romania who should have stayed in this "oasis" somewhere on October 14! I hope that this "Mr. Manager" maybe Aytekin will not treat you the way described to...
Read moreWe have just returned from side springs hotel just this evening and wanted to share the experience both myself and my sister and our husbands had |Firstly I'd just like to add, if your looking for 5 star 🌟 at a budget price then it's not going to happen, really annoys me when people pay peanuts to stay at this hotel and then expect a 5 star hotel, for what it cost to stay at side springs was beyond our expectation by far |This has been our first ever holiday to Turkey and if I'm honest we hadn't a clue what to expect, has soon has our taxi pulled up outside side springs the owner and his staff were straight out to help us, checkin was straight forward and we had 2 rooms on the 2nd floor, yes there's no lift but the staff wouldn't hesitate to take your luggage up for you |Our room was basic but it was very clean and the beds were so comfortable and of excellent quality has were the pillows, I had 7 brilliant nights sleep |The maids were in everyday leaving us clean towels, extra toilet rolls and toiletries, very polite and always greeted us with a big smile |The food was amazing and their Turkish food has totally converted me, no there isn't mountains of choices but for a small hotel the food was gorgeous and plentiful every meal times.... if you don't like anything but English food then you won't get any it's almost all Turkish cuisine. they do have a snack bar that sells chips, burgers etc and are really cheap too |I've saved the best til last, I've travelled to alot of places and stayed in some beautiful hotels too but I have never ever been treat has well has this little family run hotel, they can't do enough for you, seriously I can't get over how friendly everyone has been, they are such lovely people and they make you feel part of everything during your stay, I really didn't want to go home today ❤️ |Side is beautiful especially the old town and the ancient ruins but purely down to the heat I'd recommend a taxi ride (10 euro) yes the shop keepers try and get you into their shops or restaurants bit just say no thank you and they are fine, but they still love to chat with you |I can highly recommend...
Read moreFrom the first moment I arrived at the hotel I was treated like royalty. Absolutely nothing is too much effort for the staff, they go above and beyond to make your stay the best they can.|The hotel pool is spotlessly clean, so relaxing and they play the best chill out music by day! |The hotel and rooms are also spotlessly clean. A special mention to the lovely, friendly cleaners who were amazing. Fresh bedding and towels everyday, and the room was left spotless after each visit. They even go the extra mile and make the cutest shapes out of the towels which made me smile everyday when I returned to the room.|They have a shuttle bus that runs to the beach everyday, however as I like to keep fit and walk, both the beach and Side old town (both of which are stunning) are within walking distance, 25mins, if you are fit and able, all on flat ground, no hills. Just download Side google maps before, take a hat and off you go!|I also recommend visiting Manavgat Waterfalls, it is absolutely beautiful and not expensive. I took the bus from Side bus station and the drivers are all so friendly and helpful, you won’t get lost. They will tell you exactly where to get off and on and only 35 lira each trip. I recommend stopping in Manavgat central where you can get really cheap make up and homeware (just remember to take a big case, I wish I had, to buy more). You will also see a bridge with the most beautiful views. |An absolutely lovely hotel, beautiful area and a brilliant week was had. You must go!!!|Thank you all! Teşekkür...
