My review is about a 7 nights stay, at a bungalow double room, in Sunrise resort. Travelled with my family and friends (7 adults and 4 children). Let's start with the Pros : good food - lets say about 4-5* ( good variety - meats, local dishes, vegan choices, sweets, fruits, ice-cream etc., good taste, very good managing - huge space and many locations in the resort) resort's gardens - 5* , indeed a real bothanical garden, very well-maintained garden + some nice birds running free (pheasants and hens) a lot of pools - 3-4*, indeed a large number of swimming pools, but they need quick renovation. aquapark - 3-4* - same here, please renovate them. SPA - 4-5* - good service, good massage - try it!
And now Cons : not a 5* hotel - maybe only the gardens are 5, but the rest is 3, or max 4* for some categories small rooms - I've stayed with my wife + 2y daughter + mother in a double room bathroom - old and dirty, zero soundproff - I could hear all from the entire room. Bad soap and shampoo - 2-3* max, the shower is old and full of limestone. ants in the rooms - nothing to comment .... bad cleaning service - very rare (not daily) and when they arrive they only arrange the sheets, wipe the floors without vacuuming them and worth to mention that the closet was not cleaned even 1 time in the whole week English is a total strange language for most of the staff - they have a desk called literally "Guest Relations" - but the lady there only speaks native language + russian - I guess this is enough, i won't detail more. towels - very used and old and some of them smells bad - yes, the "washed" ones ... no slippers drinks and spirits - the worst ! one beer only (draft) and the spirits - better not try them. juices only at the dispenser beach and sea - not so "welcoming" - lot of rocks and not attractive for kids. beach / poll bars - far from a 5* standard
Overall, we had a pleasant stay - we've made it this way :), but for sure we will not return to this resort because is not a 5* at all. And when you pay for 5* you have some expectations. We'll have to deep in more depth the next time we'll travel to Turkish riviera - if we'll do it again. Advice for the staff : learn your staff English (or at least a higher % of them) and start to clean better the rooms. It's a pity, you have such a great culture and cuisine and you are...
Read more3 of us (me, my mom and my brother) went to this hotel for a week and it was a wonderful and an unforgettable experience. Let's break it down:|1) location& territory: it was a 2 hour ride from the airport with a stop by a local cafe, the overall location is great with shops, pharmacies and a mall in a walking distance, you can get a taxi and get to wherever you want and need.|The territory of the hotel was cozy and comfortable with lots of plants and trees, it was nice taking a stroll there. Also a great advantage was that you can visit the Starlight hotel.|1. food: everything was delicious with various dishes, most of the meals were different every day, I really enjoyed it. Everyone could definitely find something for themselves.|2. Activities: my favourite became swimming on sup boards in the morning and playing beach volleyball. The animator team was truly the best, especially Stas and Vlad, they made the holiday ten times better. Besides that, there are a lot more activities to choose from, like yoga, aquo gym, zumba and etc. Without these activities the holiday would be boring. Either additional fees you can go horse riding or play tennis.|3. Beach: sea temperature was really nice, the beach was always clean and no shortage of sun beds, the only thing is that in the morning there were sometimes big waves but for us that wasn't a problem. You could always go in the water from the pier.|4. There were shows every evening and night, so you won't be able to get bored for sure, also a few days a week you can visit a beach party, a pool party and a party at the night club which are amazing. Entertainment for children was also good.|5. the only slightly disappointing thing was the hotel room, it is a bit worn out and needs renovation.|The overall experience was amazing and I would definitely recommend this hotel to people of any age with or without kids because everyone can find something great for themselves...
Read moreAlthough it was a decent hotel for it's price, here are my following complaints
straight on from the reception, the reception gave complete attention only to Adults. My friend, a teenager had requested a spare key card but was skipped by at least 5 people, and then got told he couldn't get a card. Met a nice girl at the reception from Kosovo. She was so sweet and nice. -The buffet was the most boring thing. We had to go to the other restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Bland food, no options. The indoor pool was so bad, the jacuzzi emitted a really strange smelly gas and the pool was tiny. Outdoor pool was ok. On the first day, I noticed two bricks that broke off the side of the pool. I've been to 4 hotels previously that had a cover on the kids pool but this pool didn't have one. The hotel was really beginning to show it's age and the blue coats were fading on the building. My relatives asked for a repair on their air conditioning unit at least 3 times and were refused a repair, they were pretty upset The WiFi was down for a full day which was frustrating when we needed it most. The Wifi logging in process was so slow and annoying and 3/5 of my family's Details weren't accepted at the WiFi Login. Another MAJOR ISSUE was the dirt, the last few hotels I have visited have absolutely no dirt in or outside of the pools. Try to walk anywhere near a pool and you will be pinched by the little rocks and debris, there IS A WAY of cleaning this but shows how cheap the hotel really is. I am currently writing this while sitting outside my apartment, my keycards don't even work, and when I went to change them I was refused because i only borrowed two because the other 2 didn't work for God's sake!!!! Over all, not the best hotel but it was half decent and please just fix these...
