I'll start with Antalya airport which is approximately 1.5 hours away from the hotel and a rather expensive airport if you need to buy anything I would recommend you hold on till you get outside or get to the hotel. The hotel is located in Manavgat and slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city/towns however has local Bazaar where you can purchase most things. The taxi service from outside the hotel is quite expensive if you haven't already pre booked excursion/ day outing online in advance! |The hotel didn't really stand out from outside when we arrived and looked like a rather standard hotel with basic security and entrance gate. We were greeted by reception staff and butlers who helped us with luggage, the check-in experience was rather swift and informative. We were taken to our room on the 2nd floor in the corner (recommended for less noise) and we were amazed by the cleanliness and modern style. We opted for a 2 room family suite which was more than enough to accommodate 2 children and 2 adults. All facilities were provided, the bathroom and balcony (which was facing the back of hotel with sea view) was very modern and up to date. Looked like the hotel and rooms went through some renovations in the recent years which was very good. The beds are good sized, comfortable, clean and daily serviced if you wish to have it done.|There is free wifi in the hotel for all guests however very very slow! The option was to purchase wifi which was very fast for the days required. Here comes my issue, when I enquired about the private wifi the reception staff sold it to me saying it would connect in my room and in the hotel. After purchasing a wifi connection for 7 days I realized it only worked around the hotel and not in the room. When I enquired the next morning about the connection issue the guy at the reception with tattoos on his right arm argued that there was nothing he can do as there were so many people using the network. He then went on saying that the issue was with my devices (4 new devices checked) and that they didn't work correctly! The whole reason for purchasing the private wifi connection was to have connection in the room so my 2 kids can be kept busy at the end of the day and we can do our general admin work when in the room. This wasn't the case as the guy fobbed us off by saying he will inform the maintenance team which we didn't hear from for the duration of our stay. That was an uneasy situation I had to deal with, which was unexpected from the 5 star hotel staff. Although the cost of wifi was 7 euros and not very expensive, for a 5 start hotel I would have thought this would be included as standard these days!||We received some excursion information to our room on the first day, the next morning the rep from that company went out of his way to wake us up by calling to say he was downstairs and I should come down to meet with him! We met with him after breakfast and he went through some excursions, prices, guarantee and insurance details. Unfortunately I had already booked all my excursions before coming to Turkey otherwise this would be a good way to purchase the excursions. I would say the prices are slightly higher (as there is agent involved) but ultimately you end up doing the same activities as everyone else via other companies.||The food and drinks service was quite extensive in this all inclusive hotel as they had timings for different types of foods eg, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, gozlem & ice cream, coffee and patisserie! A bit of a mission trying to maintain the times but I would say although they had allot of items for breakfast and dinner it didn't really change much for the duration of the 7 days we were there. Most of the mains for breakfast and dinner didn't really appeal to us but maybe more for the eastern European guests who were here in abundance. However there was something to eat for everyone although my kids mainly lived on chicken nuggets and chips!| |The hotel advertises as English, Russian, German and Turkish speaking staff on websites but whilst we were there only the reception staff could speak English. On some occasions the helpful staff had pulled out their phones to translate what we were saying in Turkish so they can guide us. This was the same with the in-house paramedic as well.||My biggest issue was with the amount of flies in all the food and drinks areas, they were just everywhere. I understand that the doors keep on opening and closing as there are outdoor seating and people entering from different areas of the building make space for flies, but this was a problem as you literally had to guard your food all the time! The other habit I noticed was that tables weren't being sprayed with anti bacterial cleaners before each change and just wiped off which didn't help with the flies issue. I would suggest the hotel to invest in some sort of fly deterring equipment as this can put off people from eating especially as they have allot of food on display which isn't always closed. Not something you would like to see in a 5 star hotel unfortunately!||Moving onto the all inclusive drinks, you can get all soft drinks from the bar areas, local Efes beer through the taps and local spirits. They also do cocktails which frankly were horrendous and didn't really appeal to me. The drinks were not the greatest and when I asked why they didn't have a choice of other drinks behind the bar to purchase additionally, the young bartender almost had a melt down and started promoting their great Efes beer! I ended up buying Carlsberg & Tuborg (which I don't really drink in the U.K) from the hotel general store. Surprisingly good in Turkey as they come at 5% and very refreshing after a long day!||If you require towels for sauna, beach, pools then you will need to collect them from the sauna area between 9-11am although the workers did accommodate me at times, thanks. If your planning on going to their private beach then do get there for early morning as the beach chairs do get taken up very quickly under the shaded areas. Another observation was that lots of people leave their towels in the pool and beach chair and never return to claim them which means others can't use the facilities. On occasions I just had to wait for a few minutes to see if people return before taking over the chairs which worked perfectly for me!||I cannot fault the hotels services e.g. pools, private beaches, activities, entertainment, decor, rooms, food & drinks facilities. They have very hard working staff and are mainly nice and helpful to guests apart for the few minor issues!|I would definitely recommend this hotel for families and couples which is providing a good standard service at an affordable price however, they would need to improve on a few areas to bring up to a good 5 stars. For now I would say it's a very good 4 stars with some room for...
Read moreThis is our 8th year in a row to Turkiye. We were at Kamelya hotels, Turan hotels. Adelya hotels, Majestic etc. Always there were ups and downs, but all of them known prior the reservation due the honest description of the tour operator or hotel itself and never ever food poisoning. This time, 2 families, eating cautiosly (not too much, not to sensible, no cookies or sauses in higher temepratures etc) and 6 of 7 members got diareea or other indigestive issues. ||After a few days of testing this and that I realized that I got myself the problems from soda glasses (pepsi ones) and "natural fruit juices" most probably. The Pepsi glasses and white plastic cups were washed manually with the same sponge, foam and vinegar, but were filthy as hell, smelling bad also. ||Food - was ridicolously small amount and variety of food for lunch at both of the locations (beach and inside), more than half of the food boxes were closed and empty. Breakfast and dinner were ok as quantity and variety, but the availalbe 2 hours for all meals (which were mostly 60-90 minutes maximum before taken away) was really limited in such a small place for thousand of people. Outside there were 3 ladies prepapring traditional turkish wraps and goffry and ice creams for 3 hours a day.||Room service - cleaning ok but always delay or missed because we had to put our small kid to sleep at 14:30 so we had 3 cleanings in 7 days.||Minibar - is a bad joke. First day 4 soda, 2 beer, 2 small water and one bottle of still water, from second day only the waters. ||Internet - 14 euro wireless / device / week with MAC and IP monitoring. In 2024 such a thing maybe in Non EU countries is possible, but more likely in Turkiye, Korea and Russia.||Distances - very good, very close to bazar, beach, foodcourts, pools, all good.||Prices - very high on spot - 1 digital picture with a parrot - 7 euros ? :))) Come one. After bargain, 22 pictures 50 euros, still...out of this world. ||Bazar - typical rubbish low quality fake stuff as usually. Little toy car die cast for my boy - 14 euros :))), plastic airplane 10 euros, leave it. Inflatable stuff for water fooling around 10-14 euros. Only swimming short of any brand and turkish rahat are ok for the price and cigarettes are best price ever. Do not but perfumes, it's only water with some similiar odour which last 2 seconds. Not even for free.|Indoor bazar quite close as prices to the external one, for urgent small things you can suite yourself in the hotel.||Rooms - we got a suite with 2 rooms in the older wing - inside was everything ok for 2010-2015. But without renovation and repairs, everything was like scratched, damaged, broken, dirty, looked and felt really sad. The safe was safe, nobody touched or tried to steal anything. ||Air conditioning - very good, primary room the central AC was working ok, kid's room a mitsubishy split was doing great job.||Staff - everybody speaking great English, very positive experience.||Pools - great pool outside, very good temperatures, slide are really limited (2 in total) working for 4 hours a day approx. Clean, warm, ok.||Beach - really close to the hotel, like 6 mins walks through the beatufitul resort, sea was really warm, like 30+ celsius, shore was mixed sand and pebbles, definitely needed swimming shoes. Bad part is that it's getting really deep almost immediately, like in 3-4 meters away from the beach already 2 meters plus deep with some impressive waves all the time. Watersport skyhigh prices (jetski 60 euro 15 minutes, skydiving 70-120 euros, etc).||Airport - 1.5 hours away from the hotel, depending on tour operator they will stop or not at local souvenier shops for 15 minutes.||All in all, for 2500 euros 7 days ,all inclusive for 2 adults and 2 children, if there were no poisoning, would be ok-ish, but in the new renovated wing maybe and some extra time for meals. ||Dertour - as operator - they were ok, transport ok, HiSky as airline was mediocre, very high prices for even water (3 euros 500 ml water). Absolutely nothing just flying and with 1 - 1.5 hrs delay each flight.||Probably will not return here only in case of some super extra discounts and big pack of drugs...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with our family. Let me start with the positive aspects. The open buffet system was good; the food was both varied and generally tasty. While it’s not a luxurious culinary experience, it certainly wasn’t bad. The fact that alcohol was available 24/7 was also a nice touch. Special thanks to Mr. Barış at the lobby bar—he was attentive and presentable. The atmosphere at the terrace bar was also very pleasant, with a great view and ambiance.
The sea was quite wavy, but there were enough sunbeds, so it may still be a good choice for those who enjoy this type of sea. However, the water gets deep very quickly. The pool area was always crowded. On the plus side, the water slides were fun—not just for kids, but also suitable for adults.
Unfortunately, we experienced several serious issues. While foreign guests were not warned, we were addressed quite harshly and rudely by a staff member, Mr. Ufuk, apparently just because we were Turkish. This was extremely uncomfortable. Statements like “I know what I’m doing, don’t interfere!” were disrespectful and inappropriate.
The hotel completely failed in terms of room cleanliness. Even though we turned on the “room cleaning” light, housekeeping staff entered the room multiple times without knocking. They turned off the light and left without cleaning—something we noticed because we were inside. In our room for three people, towels were consistently provided for only two. There were no hand or foot towels, and despite multiple requests, nothing changed. During our entire stay, our room was never properly cleaned. The so-called cleaning was superficial at best, and far from meeting basic hygiene standards expected in a holiday resort. Worse yet, we experienced multiple incidents of staff entering the room without knocking, completely disregarding our privacy.
Additionally, the general attitude and appearance of the staff were far from what one would expect at a five-star hotel. From their attire to the way they addressed guests using terms like “bro” or “sis,” the overall professionalism was lacking. As long as the hotel continues with such low-quality staff, it will struggle to deliver the experience of a true five-star hotel.
Lastly, the Wi-Fi was not free, which is a disappointing and unnecessary restriction for a hotel in this category.
Overall, while there are some positive aspects, the hotel seriously needs improvement in hygiene, staff quality, and customer service. In its current state, it is unlikely to meet the expectations of guests looking for a true...
