I'll start off by saying that I am a frequent traveller to Turkey, this was my 7th week here this year, lost count how many times last year and already booked to come back twice next year, and I have NEVER been treated the way I was treated at this hotel by 3 members of staff. Before booking I read the reviews and it was clear that if you was staying at the hotel, but not eating or drinking there, you would be made to feel unwelcome, well I was going to be that person, although I was travelling alone, I had 16 friends at other hotels and we meet up everyday at different places, so acknowledging this I thought it would be a good idea to spend any spare time I had at the bar, spending money and getting to know everybody, this is where it all went downhill rapidly and I was met with hostility instantly by Zidane and the 2 kids I have posted pictures of. It all started when they asked for my room number to charge drinks to, I said I'll pay cash please as had 50,000tl on me to spend on food, drinks and tips, I don't wear fake clothes so this was specifically to just waste down bar street really. So I had a few beers, said my goodbyes and went to bed. Because of the hostility I had received the previous evening, when I left the hotel the next morning I gave Faruk, I think the owner/manager a jar of my honey, he and a few other guests that tried it were very impressed, great were off to a good start, so I thought! When I next returned to the bar, Zidane again asked me for my room number, I politely asked 'why do you need my room number as I'm paying cash' he insisted he needed it so I said 216, he then opened up a tablet and entered my room number, and there was money on my tab from my first night in the bar, I asked why there was money on my room tab when I had paid cash, this is when things really took a turn for the worst as he had been caught out trying to scam me! So I carried on about my business trying to enjoy my holiday and not let it bother me. I returned that evening and went to the bar and bought a beer, Zidane said 'the bar is closed, you can't drink here' I thought nothing of it and started heading back to my room, as I was leaving I noticed lots of people in the bar still, so I turned back around and sat in the bar, to which the Turkish kids in the photo started saying 'oh my god, oh my god' in the daft voice they do it in. As I had obviously defied someone they are scared of. I finished my drink, said goodnight gentlemen, and went to bed. The next morning as I was leaving I spoke to Faruk about what had happened the previous evening and he wasn't happy about how I had been treated by Zidane and the 2 kids. I left the hotel and carried on with my day, when I returned that evening, all I got was abuse, shouting slander at me, Zidane clearly doesn't know the meaning of the word as slander means false accusations, when everything I had said was true to the word, same as everything I'm writing now. So at this point, he is shouting at me infront of other guests in the lobby area so I just walked off to my room to get ready, when I came back down, the shouting and abuse continued, so I walked out of the hotel and onto the bus, this is when Zidane and the 2 kids followed me, Zidane got on the bus, took his top off and started jumping up and down, trying to get me to fight him, shouting that he is now resigned, and he doesn't care about Tripadvisor reviews, I couldn't help but laugh at him, like literally burst out laughing as it was so bizarre, a fully grown so called man taking his top off and jumping up and down infront of me on a bus looool, when he didn't get the reaction he was looking for he said 'you take pictures of young girls' again, to try and get a reaction out of me but again I just laughed, I knew exactly what would have happened if I had taken the bait, I would have been assaulted by Zidane and the 2 kids on the bus. When he eventually realised he wasn't going to get what he wanted he left the bus saying 'watch what happens' now I'm heading out for the evening, all my posessions are in the hotel so I didn't know what was going to happen but I didn't fancy returning that evening when it would have been dark, so I stayed at another hotel, then in the morning went back and packed my stuff and got out of there! There is a young lad, Vaysal that works behind the bar that was an absolute gentleman to me, and Faruk both great human beings that treated me how I expect to be treated. In the voice notes Faruk sent me he said they had a big meeting about Zidane, and he will no longer be working at the hotel as he is rude to lots of guests not just myself, I wasn't going to leave a review but I feel that so much happened that I couldn't not say anything. Besides all this, the hotel is nice, the rooms are massive I had a double and a single bed, the cockerels at the back are 24/7, there is a bus stop literally outside the hotel as it is a bit out of the way at the top...
Read moreI want to be really honest as there is no point in writing fluffy reviews.me and son have just done a week there.
We live Turkey but I've broken it down into sections.
Hotel.... this is a very dated hotel that has many faults. Room clean and tidy but bedding not changed everyday. Cleaned daily but I started to notice bedding had it been changed over. Broken items in the room. Bulbs not working, drawers broken etc. All reported to reception but nothing done. I paid for the air con in the room, this was a waste of money. Did not work properly and didn't blow out cold air.
No basic needs in the room you have to pay for kettle etc.....I'm an ex soldier and will sleep anywhere but the hotel is clean but some very basic things need addressing.
The pòol is good but why they kept turning the slide in and off is beyond me......we kept having to ask for the slide to be turned on. If it's to save electric then put a better system in place.
Staff..... all the lads there work hard and make you feel relaxed and nothing is too much for them. They tend to your every needs with drinks and taking orders for food etc. They put on good shows and the lads get up and get dancing. Good lads that work hard. Tip them for there time....They work hard.
Location......peaceful and quiet with shops around and other places to eat. Small kids park nearby and bus stop right outside. Great location and you can be on the bus and at the beach in 10 minutes for 2TL.
Food........the food at the hotel is top quality and enjoyable. I didn't personally have a bad meal and the lads in the kitchen do well.
Meal deals.......we took the meal deal off Attilla and if I'm honest I was disappointed in some areas. 90 quid paid and that gave us 4 lunch tickets and 4 evening meal tickets each for my lad and I. When we arrived I paid for our set menu as it was a long day. We ate everything and then Attilla joined us after and went through it. All in all its not a bad shout but you can eat out for less. I did also notice that when we had the meal deals the portions where smaller then the paid for portions. Again I'm ex army and a man fights on a full belly. Disappointed with meals after that. There was a mistake made where maybe on both my part and the waiters part where one lunch time I have a dinner ticket instead of lunch. I then noticed this the next day and approached Attilla to sort out the mistake. He assured me that I was wrong and he was right that we used it. He did check tickets and said we were still wrong. I wrote down the day we arrived and carry all receipts and noted when we ate in the hotel and out. We ended up been up lunch tickets and down dinner tickets. You can't eat four evening meals in 3 days.....but I made sure we used up the tickets......all I'll say is it's up to you if you want the meal deal...don't be forced...me and my lad ate out one night for a tenner and bus travel.....
Trips .......the hotel guy wanted us to go on trips and would of charged us 12 quid each for trips.....all I'll say again is shop around in town.........He wanted 84 quid for 3 trips and I got it for 52 in town .......shop around.
The local shops around the hotel are cheaper than the hotel shop....use them there a 1 min walk away.
Spa.......Top lady and top service.....best spa treatment I have had in Turkey and worth the money...time and effort put I to me so don't bother booking else where see the owner of spa there.
Food good quality but after tickets where given portions smaller, my lad couldn't order some food but was told while selling us meal deal he could......Location great but hotel basic, needs repair but clean on some parts.
I write honest but fair reviews and yes war and peace but if you want a good trip then read reviews first.
Here for questions...
Read moreSo I don't normally write reviews as prefer to make mynown mind up but I feel I need to put a few things straight.the hotel is a 3 star a 3 star in Turkey is not the same as a 3 star in England so don't expect the ritz, yes thr rooms are dated but let me assure you that they are cleaned every day without fail bed sheets are changed regularly and clean towels are also changed daily.as you would expect with an older hotel it's not going to be marble inlaid bathrooms or state of the art bedrooms but let's be honest how much time do you actually spend in your room? Yes you have to pay extra for aircon and WiFi as I have said its not england.also what are you expecting when you pay around £350 per person for 11 nights? It's a cheap holiday so expect to pay extras.it can be expensive for drinks if you are sitting around the pool all day so pay your bill at the end of the day.the cheapest way to pay for food is to get meal tickets which can be used for either lunch or dinner, all food is cooked in an open kitchen so you can see your food being prepared and cooked it's very fresh and the chef is top draw.the pool and entertainment are excellent. The staff and managers are brilliant and nothing is to much trouble they are always on hand to help with any problems you may cone across thier is also a medic on hand who will look after you if you need him.so to sum up my wife and I have visited marmaras 8 years on the bounce the first 3 years we stayed in the best hotels all inclusive but after finding musti I can honestly say we wouldn't go anywhere else why? Because at musti you are treated like family that's why this year is our 5th of going there.and before I forget the hotel has been updated with all bathrooms and seating downstairs over the winter break.i hope this has helped make your mind up musti really is a...
