myself and two of my friends had booked to stay in sunrise apartments as it was last minute and not many other places were available. we read reviews and saw that most were good so we were excited to go, that soon changed when we arrived. ||as three young girls we were a little hesitant of staying somewhere new although we have all been coming to marmaris since we are kids, we are familiar with people and places and always feel safe but this place was different for all of us. from our first observations of the place it was quite obvious that we were the youngest people staying there which was fine, but we felt very unwelcome everytime we would walk in and out past the pool. i’m guessing if you are any younger then 60 you shouldn’t stay there 🤷🏻♀️ ||we came in late some of the nights and noticed that there was absolutely no sense of security or anyone even sitting in reception, the door to reception was wide open for anyone on the street to come in. the first incident happened on our second night, we went upstairs to bed and were almost asleep when we heard a turkish woman outside our door, screaming and banging our door down. we didn’t answer for a few minutes as of course we were scared but when we did answer she pushed her way past my friend, looked around our room and then stormed back off. we didn’t hear her banging on anyone else’s door so it was clear she wasn’t lost or anything like that. the next day we told the older man that was working about what had happened and he shrugged it off and said “okay”. we just let it go anyways and tried to forget about it but things just kept happening. another morning me and my friend were woken up to the sound of the key turning and the door opening, it was about 9:30 am when the door opened and as soon as whoever it was saw that we were awake, they left. and no it was not the cleaner as these apartments only have one cleaner and we know what she looks like. the last incident that happened was someone just tried to walk into our room at about 6:30 pm while we were getting ready, very firmly trying to turn the handle on our door and when they couldn’t get in they left a tiny knock and left. these apartments are tiny and it’s not hard to remember where ur own room is as there were only about 12 rooms in the whole place. we had booked to stay at this place for 7 days but had to book another hotel for our last 2 nights as we didn’t feel safe at all. the night before we left we pushed the beds up against the door to our apartment and that was the only way we felt safe enough to sleep. we were in room 203 and our balcony was practically on the footpath, our curtains were also too small and didn’t fit the windows properly so anyone could see in. the room was is terrible condition with blood stains on the bed frame in the main bedroom. ||when we were checking out we spoke to an english woman who i believe is Janine, we told her about how unsafe we felt and didn’t get as much as an apology. she basically told us that we were imagining it all and that it wasn’t possible for people to get in as there is always someone on reception which is false as there was never anyone there. the one time we needed a spare key, we went to reception to look for someone and there was a young man in a completely separate room gaming on a computer with headphones on and he didn’t even hear us calling him or knocking on the door. if someone is ever in trouble i doubt he’ll be any help at all. personally just would not recommend to anyone but especially any young girls who are looking for somewhere affordable to stay like we were, i would absolutely hate for anyone to have to go through what we did. none of us got any sleep it was absolutely terrible just waiting up for something else to happen. the door to our apartment was also so flimsy and had pry marks like it had to be broken open before, had bits of foam attached around the edges to fill gaps. the only door in the whole place that looked like this. everything that happened felt so coincidental and absolutely no help or sympathy was offered to 3 19 year olds. honestly disgraceful ||i’ve been going to marmaris since i was a baby and this was the one time i have ever felt so unsafe and vulnerable. pls stay away...
Read moreAfter a all night flight and a 4 and half hour delay we landed at the hotel i was a little sceptical due to it being in a part of marmaris i dont normally stay but we booked in was shown our room which was on the top floor a little problem for myself but was sorted easily enought and we was moved down a few days later. The management/owners Tansil and janine are so nice and friendly cant do enough for you and ben the barman was a sweet guy also. Any probles are sorted there and then no matter what it is. There is no restaurant on sight as such just snacks that can be made if they have it in but its just been like that since covid and they will also order in anything you want to. The hotel is in a prime area really its quiet if you want peace or you can walk round corner to the main street to all bars, nightclub pasha, restaurants and shops. Defo will be going back to this hotel they are just like family and tansil please message me your details i forgot to get...
Read more|I apologize for the delay in posting this positive review. In July 2024, my family and I booked a last-minute holiday through Love Holidays for a week in Turkey. We had spent two weeks in Cyprus for our wedding prior and didn't get much quality time together, so we chose this hotel.||Initially, we had some concerns, but upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Tansel, the hotel owner, who turned out to be a genuinely nice person. The hotel staff were lovely, and if you enjoy football, you can have engaging conversations about teams from around the world. ||The bar operates on a cash basis, and the coffee was delightful. I particularly enjoyed the Efes beer served in a frosted glass, which I often find myself reminiscing about while at work. The hotel’s Wi-Fi was effective, and it's conveniently located near a small store for all your needs.||In summary, if you're looking for a cost-effective and laid-back hotel, this place does the trick. Thank you for a...
