So to start off, we paid extra for a room with sea view, ended up getting the room on the picture I have uploaded. The next day our tour guide spoke to the reception about a room swap and they said that we will get a new room the next day. Next day comes, they tell us that they can`t move us, we spoke to our guide again, she probably called them and they moved us to a room with sea view. The staff barely know any English, only one receptionist knows very good English, but you have to get lucky for her to be on her shift. Hotel is advertised in Bodrum, but is 40 km away. The worst part is that the hotel has a scheme, there is an individual that sits next to the reception and calls tourists and tells them he can get them to Bodrum for the bazaar day, the price is 20 dollars which is ridiculous. We went to Bodrum with the public transport bus for 120 turkish lira per person and the bus even came to the hotel. The second time we did this, a bus came with the same guy and they said it`s 20 dollars, we said we will go and get the bus from the central station in Gulluk. We go there, we ask the driver how much and he said 120 turkish lira (approx 3 eur) all of a sudden the guy from the hotel comes, he spoke to the other drivers in Turkish and all of a sudden the drivers forgot all they told us and it was 20 dollars, which is absurd. We obviously complained about it at the reception, they are probably in the scheme as well, so not all take it seriously. The next day the price was 90 turkish lira (approx 1.75 eur). Imagine how absurd that is. Also keep in mind that the bazaar day is on Tuesday and the guy goes to tables and talks to tourists about taking them there, price is 20 dollars, they drive you to the bazaar which is a 2 min walk from the station in Bodrum normally, you only have 2 hours and you are brought back. Guy tries to lure people on other days too, just FYI! Our bed sheets were not changed, the room was not cleaned, the only thing housekeeping did, was give us a roll of toilet paper, take out the trash and leave a bottle of water.

I’ve chosen Roseira for my first vacation abroad ever and wasn’t wrong. For the price given for 1 room for 2 people we got everything we needed. Friendly staff (that speaks english well), a tidy room, ambient atmosphere, good-looking hotel territory and beautiful roundabouts. Shotout to the manager Umut (sorry if i’m misspelling it) and a receptionist who had worked in the USA for the unbelievably pleasant and advanced communication in English and the resolution of any issues in no time. Amount of food was sufficient and it was delectable, i’ve got a chance to try Turkish cuisine and many other things, lots of fruit and desserts, fresh and nice. Cocktails and ice cream were also provided. I don’t think I’ve even covered all the foods and drinks in the hotel, in that there were more than enough of them. I don’t see walking to the beach(~8mins) as a problem seeing as the hotel is located on the hill which gives an opportunity to oversee sea and mountains(however, Roseira offers transfer to the beach and back every hour). Anyone can also go down to the centre of Gulluk within 10mins and enjoy their time there. There’s a convenient bus system to Bodrum, costing 88 Turkish lira and taking 50mins to get to the city, which is also great and not challenging at all. The information can always be specified at the reception. The only disadvantage for me, as a Ukrainian, is an awful lot of russians coming here, but it’s not Roseira’s fault. We were respected here and didn’t have a single trouble and I’d definitely love to come back with more friends or family to show this beautiful hotel and cities to them. Thank you Roseira!

We have spent a lovely time here. Overall I recommend, it's a good hotel for the price range – not a luxury hotel, but I think it matches the cost. The food is quite varied, and we didn’t get bored with meals. The hotel’s private beach is just a 5-minute walk away, located in a nice, quiet area. It’s an ideal spot to drink çay in the shade of the trees and read your favorite book. Hotel is also close to the center of Gulluk, where it’s worth going for good Turkish coffee (turk kahvesi) and fresh simit. Although the bathrooms need some renovation work, the rooms are cleaned daily, and in terms of cleanliness, there’s nothing to complain about. Undeniable pros of the hotel: Great view (the hotel is located at the highest point in the area) Extremely friendly staff!!! Cons: Turkish coffee is charged extra (75TL), and other coffees are only instant. Very loud music played until 11 PM (for families with children wanting to go to bed earlier, this could be a challenge). Some songs contained very inappropriate language ( I suspect the DJ didn’t know what he was playing). Very poor Wi-Fi, connections drop constantly or it’s impossible to connect at all.

One of the most awful and disgusting 4-star services I have ever experienced.

The staff have absolutely no understanding of personal boundaries or respect for guests.

They behave vulgarly, shout, and treat you as if you’re at the cheapest street market.

No one speaks proper English. I had to explain myself like a woodpecker 20 times in a row, wasting my energy. There was no initiative from the staff and no desire to understand the guest.

Moreover, the hotel’s internet is very poor, and on the 3rd floor it didn’t work in the room at all. I had work calls, so I went to the pool thinking the Wi-Fi would be at least somewhat better there. I was lying on a sunbed, minding my own business, in the middle of work, when a staff member passed by and distracted me with some nonsensical greetings and attempts to start meaningless small talk.

Then the Wi-Fi stopped working completely. I went to the reception full of anger because after just one day of staying there, absolutely everything irritated me — wobbly tables at breakfast, the impossibility of doing anything myself because any entrance into the dining room was immediately met with questions like “What do you want? What do you need?” Every single time, I had to waste energy on pointless conversations instead of just walking in silently to get tea. I had to explain my purpose every single time I came in.

It felt like I wasn’t the guest — it was as if I was visiting completely uneducated people.

So I went to the reception and said: “Your Wi-Fi is terrible, nothing works. Can’t you connect a proper internet and do at least something for the guests???”

The person at the reception did not speak English and didn’t bother to take the initiative to try to understand me. Due to the lack of internet, I couldn’t even use a translator.

I told them I urgently needed the internet because I had an important call and asked them to solve the problem.

Instead, the receptionist began showing emotions, refused to provide Wi-Fi, and even told me I had to check out immediately (it was only 11:10 AM). Can you imagine the absurdity???

I have a video recording of this incident showing how this illiterate hotel worker threw disgusting words at me and deliberately wasted my time instead of solving the problem.

When I repeatedly approached hotel staff asking for internet, no one helped.

Later, it was already time for me to leave for the airport and order a taxi. This receptionist refused my request to call a taxi, deliberately trying to cause me to miss my flight.

When I asked to call the manager, I was told that it was Sunday and there was no manager available.

Then another person came to the reception and solved the issue. He calmly listened to my request, provided internet, and apparently realized that his colleague had made a huge mistake by telling me to check out earlier than the scheduled time. He even offered to extend my room until 2 PM, but I refused because I needed to leave for the airport.

In addition — the whiskey is cheap, there is no champagne. The food was okay, nothing amazing — just typical canteen-style food with variety. There are mosquitoes.

Overall, friends, never stay in this place if you don’t want to waste a huge amount of time and energy soothing the staff’s egos. It’s like a kindergarten, full of infantilism, with no maturity at all.

I hope the receptionist is fired and never allowed to hold this position again. Such behavior is completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and disgusting. A guest arrives, your internet doesn’t work, and instead of fixing the problem, I had to deal with rudeness and immaturity. A terrible experience.

Below are the photos of the receptionist and his colleague, who also refused to help me and laughed at me. He found it very amusing to watch me try to solve the problem, and that entertained him. And if you look at the receptionist’s smirk in the photo, you can understand everything...

I recently stayed at Roseira Beach Resort in Bodrum, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. To be honest, I had mixed feelings before going because of some reviews on TripAdvisor, and since I booked a really cheap deal through Love Holidays, my expectations weren’t very high. But it turned out to be such a great experience.||Location & Arrival|The hotel is only about 10 minutes from Bodrum Airport, which was super convenient. We arrived around 1 a.m. and couldn’t find an Uber, so we took a taxi straight to the hotel for about £15. The hotel is at the top of a hill, but the taxi dropped us off right at the entrance so no dragging bags uphill, which was a relief.||Rooms|The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a decent size with all the basic amenities. My only complaint is that the lighting is very dim, especially at night when getting ready.||Food & Drinks|The food was a real highlight. Meals run from breakfast until 11 p.m., and the poolside bar serves alcohol until the same time. There’s variety every day, and even as a picky eater, I always found something I liked. The live cooking stations were a nice touch one morning they made fresh pancakes, another day donuts, and in the evenings, hot Turkish dishes. While the food selection isn’t massive, the quality was great.||Alcohol is a bit limited some days vodka wasn’t available, and often it was just beer and wine. But considering this is a budget-friendly hotel, it’s understandable.||Beach & Shuttle Service|The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to its private beach every hour starting at 10 a.m. It only takes 3 minutes, and return trips from the beach run every hour at quarter past. This was such a bonus because the hotel is on a hill and walking back after a beach day would have been tough.||The private beach itself is gorgeous lots of sunbeds, stunning views, and crystal clear water. The beach bar serves snacks like burgers, fries, and nuggets, plus drinks (though again, with limited options). The area is beautifully decorated with wall art and photo spots, so we got plenty of Instagram worthy shots.||Entertainment & Atmosphere|On Friday, the hotel hosted a traditional Turkish night which was absolutely beautiful, followed by a DJ where everyone danced. It felt very welcoming and fun.||Exploring Beyond the Hotel|There isn’t much to do locally, so this is more of a relaxation focused destination. We did a day trip to Bodrum City (about 1 hour away) which the hotel arranged for €110 return. There you’ll find restaurants, bars, shisha spots, and markets. I’d recommend carrying cash (Turkish lira) as many places don’t accept cards.||Other Notes||The hotel doesn’t provide irons but does offer laundry service (a bit pricey). I’d suggest bringing a travel steamer or wrinkle-free clothes.||The staff deserve a big thank you. They work extremely hard, are always helpful, and even though many don’t speak much English, Google Translate solved everything. We felt safe and well cared for especially important since it was just two girls traveling.||The biggest downside is the Wi-Fi. It’s very weak, and on our last day, it stopped working completely. We couldn’t even check in for our flight until the staff kindly offered to hotspot us from their phones. I’d recommend getting your own data or a local SIM card.||Overall, I had a wonderful stay. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price, it exceeded my expectations in every way from the food to the beach to the hospitality. I felt safe, relaxed, and welcomed, and I can’t wait to return. I gave 4 stars because of the WIFI if not it would have been 5...
