Lara Hotel||||Antalya||||1019085754||||I have returned home today to uk 17/7/25 . So having been to this hotel||In may solo for treatment not a holiday having no problem I decided to book again July both for medical reasons. This time certain staff member male tall young glasses has been a complete bully. I explained having surgery next day and he saw me with a can of pop. Very over the top threatening to have me checked out the hotel if didn’t hand over. Had previously told 2 different reception staff o need put some drink and nibbles in my room for when released from||Hospital both were fine and supportive. This other chap was a complete over the top power mad idiot. I wasn’t only person threatened with being kicked out of hotel. Male and female having bags searched is out of order. Totally being overcharged for certain things, myself in may being charged £7 for carton of milk to make tea in room. Was 38 lira in shop. Lots of people were very unhappy with certain staff the 9 days I was there this July who were also there for dental treatment or surgery, vowing wil never go to this hotel again. They are absolutely money driven. Also 2chaps attending for dental I witnessed the commotion around the pool. To do with a bar staff member from previous evening being tipped a very large amount for passing back a mobile phone the previous night. To then having staff member enter their bedroom with key at 5.30 in the morning, but the man was awake and went crazy at this infringement of pretence of checking mini bar, total lie was there to rob him of his cash but hadn’t expect him to be awake. These 2 chaps were also checked out of hotel as was telling staff and guest what had happened. This and many hotels only survive on tourism and this hotel is used by dentist and surgeons for there patients but there greed and unprofessional attitude and bullying will be there down fall. The mini bar in room is very expensive eg a half pint of corona beer is £7-8 also products were over a month out of date in my room. One lady was charged £50 for a bottle of basic white wine on night of arrival. Other guest who had been told to get certain things for themselfs to help recovery as had all teeth removed so had stitches etc and implant screws struggle to eat. When they have purchased these items like protein shake., which cannot be purchased from hotel have had them taken off them. Myself had bought chocolate for the nurses in the hospital as a thank you gesture to take with me to the hospital from the uk, to be told by the overbearing male staff member with glasses I need to hand over, I refused as was in my case, was even ringing my room threatening to check me out if I didn’t hand over. He also informed me anything I put in my fridge I would be charged for as it was not purchased from them. The lavera restaurant which is accessible from the pool and the same staff are working in the hotel has very nice food which can be expensive which discourages people to eat from there as well as drinks very very expensive. So folk went elsewhere to eat for a fraction of the price. A can of pop from shop is a quarter of the price in the room or at the bar. This is a 3 star bed and breakfast hotel. (Turkish food). Nice outdoor space but very dated rooms and crabby carpets upstairs on landings and old furniture but with 5 star prices. I would not recommend anyone using this hotel after my experience this time and as so many people not happy with happening this time with attitude of certain staff. But it’s not a one off apparently on this visit. People I met who had previously stayed that had been put here via there dental stay were not happy to be put here again so I was informed. After the episode of staff member letting themself into someone’s room at 5.30 am with intention to rob someone money is very unnerving as people are carrying thousands of pounds to pay for the treatment, and also a lot of people are travelling solo for treatment so is nice to meet people in similar situations who are being put there by the many different dental places in turkey so you don’t feel alone around the pool area, so after that I felt uneasy in the room overnight putting suitcase etc next to the door and made sure my cash was with me 24/7. I do need to return to finish my treatment but after all going off on this visit I’m another potential customer they have now lost as I wil not be paying to stay there again and be spoken to or treated in this manner nor to be threatened to be checked out or being searched like a criminal because I’m not prepared to be ripped off with the extortionate prices over a can of pop in my situation. Nor that has happened to otheres being charged for stuff in the minibar that they did not have....

one of the waiters bad, he seemed nice at first but I didn't like the way he referred to me and my money (due to the fact that I prefer to pay tip at end of stay rather than daily and about my age and how much money I have). the first few days he was always singing to me but there were times when i just wanted silence and he would move to sing next to me non stop and in turkish , the first few days he ask me for cigarettes the last few days he take from my box of cigarettes without asking beforehand, he also ate from my plate without asking if I was ok with it, while I was still eating, I hate people touching my food while I'm eating. on the last day i was traveling at night but i had an appointment in the afternoon and so i previously asked about a late checkout, and they only said about the option of paying an extra night, i would not spend that many hours in the room so i just preferred to spend it in the bar, but this same waiter was saying extremely rude things about the fact that I had left and returned to the hotel, he was literally extremely rude about the fact that I was not hungry and had toothache and I only asked for fries, and drinks without alcohol , the discussion was so unpleasant that other people in the restaurant were talking about it too, another employee was telling him that I was paying and that if I was consuming he would have to attend to me , he literally shouted rudeness , I believe in the last year this was the moment i felt the most unpleasant, i was in the hotel for 14 days and i didn't expect this behavior, once i left extra money to share with the staff it's more than they deserved for the treatment. I would not go back to this place, and definitely this man should be ashamed of himself for blatantly talking about my money and how long I've been waiting for my flight, I felt embarrassed, and he being an older man should have the least bit of awareness of that sometimes money doesn't come when you expect it. a special thanks to the receptionists, and clean staff, but unfortunately I would never return to this hotel thanks to this waiter who joined in to speak ill of me without the slightest filter and publicly. If he has access to this comment, I would like to tell him directly that “ I hope you guys doesn't have to feel the way I did, and that karma doesn't cover you for being so despicable. you are a terrible person, and you suffer from not having extra money, because you literally don't deserve it. you shouldn't talk about my personal life, about my work, or about how much money I have in my wallet, my job or how I earn my living shouldn't even get into your mouth. and when i left you said i would come back again, but you were wrong, you made me never want to set foot in this hotel again. God bless you and I won't disrespect you because I know who I am, and everything you said about me speaks more about yourself than about me. And it doesn't matter if I have thousands of dollars on my wallet (as you said) , if you don't deserve it, you don't...

One of the worst experiences in my life was staying in this hotel. It was indeed a nightmare. I wish I could finish my vacation and return to my country, Germany.

I cannot understand how the hotel management can be so reckless and unethical, without the slightest regard for the feelings of the guests and without the least appreciation for the money that the guests paid in order to get a little rest and enjoy the summer atmosphere they came for on their vacation.

First shock: The management decided to close the hotel's private beach without mentioning it in advance. I cannot explain my feelings when I saw the phrase "the beach is closed," and the presence of the beach was the most important reason for choosing this hotel. They simply tell you that the beach is in that direction and you have to bear the trouble and time of going and taking your personal belongings and additional expenses. (I could see that shock on the faces of all the guests.) In Europe, where there are laws, the hotel is obligated to inform guests before booking of any changes in the hotel or maintenance operations. The closure of the beach caused crowding around the pool. Am I forced to wake up at six in the morning in order to reserve a bed around the pool? This is exactly what happened.

Second shock: They are doing construction work and you see workers walking around among the guests, and building materials being moved among the guests who are trying to enjoy the sun around the pool. (These works continued until Sunday. We could not enjoy the day off even on vacation.)

Third shock: I saw these beautiful pictures of the tables where I thought I could drink coffee in the morning, but unfortunately, it turned out that those seating areas are a restaurant and hotel guests do not have the right to sit there because they are reserved for restaurant customers. I was turned away by the workers in a humiliating manner when I wanted to sit early in the morning. There was no one there and without any directional signs. It turns out that there are only tables for hotel guests arranged around the pool, and one of these tables has become reserved for the restaurant and is not occupied.

Fourth shock: One must be ready at the end of the stay to pay money for additional services that one does not notice, in addition to the expensive prices for all purchases inside the hotel, which are not proportional to the hotel classification.

Fifth shock: Maintenance work is being carried out in the neighboring motel, where the machines and the concrete pump are working, in addition to the...

WARNING!!! THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED HERE IN TURKEY. We have been living in Turkey for 2 months and move around every 2 weeks. We booked for 5 nights for our Anniversary and literally checked out in less than 10 hours canceling rest of our reservation. Firstly, the reception once we arrived was rude and not helpful at all. They didn't even greet us and we had to ask simple questions they should be telling guest once they check-in. The room was small, uncomfortable beds, the fridge was broken and worst of all there was NO WIFI in the room. Which reception did not tell us until we came down the next morning to ask. Only the lobby wifi which was horrible connection. As a digital nomad, I find that crazy not to tell guests when checking in a hotel. We ordered food to our room and it came cold and tasteless. There is no vegetarian options on the menu. THE WORST PART ABOUT THIS PLACE is it is right in the landing trajectory of the planes to the airport. I KID YOU NOT, there was a plane flying over the hotel to land every few minutes. LITERALLY! every few minutes, from check in to check out. Couldn't imagine if we stayed the full 5 days. Even worse, the general manager was way more rude and unprofessional than the receptionists were. We were at reception, waiting for him to come and talk to us. He prioritized Turkish guests who came after us at reception to complain. He was yelling and had an unprofessional argument with them for 25 minutes. He turned around and padded my girlfriend's shoulder for no reason. No apologies for leaving us for almost half an hour. We were upset that we did not have pleasant stay for our anniversary and demanded refund for rest of our stay. He refused to let us get a copy of the receipt (because we did not trust them to refund without proof, that's how bad they were that we felt we needed proof). He threatened to rip up the paper, (literally putting in his hand and acting like he was about to rip it up) only because we asked for a copy. Then we asked him to sign the paper so we had proof of him saying we will get a refund, and he again refused to sign. THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN. The picture of this plane is literally standing right next to the hotel. Wish I could post the video. EVERY FEW MINUTES THEY FLY THIS CLOSE. (This picture is not zoomed in)

I agree with all previous reviews. I stayed for 2 nights only. I recommend this hotel only if you are transiting, or want to be close to the airport for 1-2 nights only. Definitely Not for a longer vacation. Definitely not kids friendly. Pros - close to the airport 15 min by taxi at cost 15usd by yellow taxi Great view from the room, take higher floor Rooms are clean, AC works Nice pool, towels provided Simple rooms with balcony, fridge in the room Breakfast was good. Nice coffee, daily different hot options. It's not a huge buffet to choose from, but enough for breakfast Good location, 5 min walk from the waterfalls Lots of small supermarkets around, restaurants, Carrefour 10 min walk Coffee at the bar and for breakfast was good Cons - Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting Food at the pool bar expensive - 13 euros for a salad, but taste amazing Kettle in the room but no cups, no tea coffee No water provided in the room No bathroom amenities, only liquid soap. Bring your own shower gel Smell of sewage in the room Staff don't speak English at all, fair enough. But also they don't smile and don't greet you when passing by or when came for breakfast, not even saying good morning. Hotel beach super mini beach with lots of sunbeds - you walk down about 200 steps. It's strictly forbidden to bring your own food or drink to the beach. It's nowhere mentioned though. I fell asleep on the beach for almost 4h, didn't drink anything. Didn't bring nothing with me to eat. When leaving I was stopped and reminded that outside food is not allowed. Shown on Google Translate on mobile. So, just because I didn't buy anything from the beach bar I'm not allowed to enjoy the beach! She spoiled my day! I couldn't believe it. It's a hotel beach! Around midday lots of speed boats stopping at the beach, people jump out and swim. There is no privacy at all Expensive for this type of hotel

The rooms are definitely basic, small balcony overlooking the sea (beautiful) Aircon thankfully worked T.V didn't work at all (we didn't need it but it seemed pointless having it. Shower/toilet/bidet. Towels/bathmat replaced daily Bedding not changed at all although it was folded daily to look as though it had been changed. Room constantly stank because of the toilets/bathroom. Wardobe space and a couple of small shelves and a small safe. Kettle but no cups/cutlery or anything else. Most staff i found quite mannerless and rude although there were a few that were helpful, attentive and jovial Breakfast was at best dismal. Fruits, bread, jam, soup (different each day), cereals, boiled eggs, chips and other bits that i didn't attempt as i couldn't really identify them and didnt want to waste. The reception and dining and indoor seating areas were misguiding as they were much nicer than 3* Internet included but constantly disconnected itself, very annoying having to keep logging back in to very slow wifi. The pool area was lovely with a VERY expensive bar/restaurant (next but adjoined) Lots of stray cats around the pool too Food was nice but like i say expensive, much cheaper to find local places to eat instead. The beach is directly below the pool area but access is by almost 200 (very steep) steps. Lots of sun loungers with its own little bar. You are forbidden from taking your own refreshments down to the beach. Water was lovely and shallow for a good way out with lots of little fishes. Lots of boat trips from the beach too, ranging in prices. The hotel is on the Airport flight path, so loud low flying planes very often but you get used to it. Overall i enjoyed my stay and all photos are my own.
