We checked in here for a 4 night staycation in the 1st week of January 2023. Being off season, it seemed like we had the entire resort to ourselves.
Beautifully spread out property, very plush design with lots of antique tea makers, coffee pots and hand made carpets all dating back to the 18th and 19th century.
We were served a very refreshing welcome drink along with Ajwa dates. Check in was processed rather quickly by Mr. Hakan and he briefed us about the facilities and offered to show us around once were settled in.
Words cannot explain the beauty of the landscape, the rooms, the fountains in front of the rooms, a luxurious twist to ancient tents in the desert.
Super comfortable beds with a menu to choose pillows from.
Coming from the UK we were so happy to see the faucet/bidet. Very good shower. Enough hot water to fill the tub.
We loved the spa facilities that has gender separate steam, sauna and turkish hammam. A huge indoor common pool that operates from morning till 3 noon for women and then till 10 pm for men. We had this place entirely to ourselves during our stay.
The resort has its own restaurant Zefran where breakfast is served through out the day which is another big plus so that you can sleep and have breakfast even at 12 noon or 3 in the afternoon.
The best breakfast spread we have ever eaten in our lives served by the wonderfully friendly and cheerful Ms. Samira.
We had dinner here twice and loved the food, wonderful salad by Chef Bengu Beyza, exceptional service by Captain Erdogan.
Several times we ordered turkish coffee and turkish tea to our room. Turkish coffee came with Ajwa dates & mint water to clean our palate. Turkish tea was even better.
This is a resort we will not forget ever and Insha Allah will definitely come back to.
Thank you Hakan & Ayabuk at front desk, Captain Erdogan, chef Bengu Beyza, and Ms. Samira at Zefran.
May the God almighty give you all the success you all...
Read moreThere’s no doubt about this hotel beauty, craftmanship and design. It’s truly spectacular in everywhere you look. From the rooms to the valley. Just perfect.
The restaurant staffs and manger are the star of the show, they are a true gem.
My experience is somewhat mix, apart from the design. I believe that to live up to 5 star service, the hotel needs to improve its front desk team. Our check in experience was very basic, there was no one to greet. We had to go find someone in the lobby, there was one guy, the night shift receptionist is nice and checked us in. He helped with the luggage to carry up the stairs as there’s no elevator in the sakura building. There was no welcome drink, information or any other explanation. It may be due to language barrier. The feel is just like you check in to a condo style hotel.
The rooms are great, amenities are excellent. Breakfast is top notch. The twin bed are really small and uncomfortable, they changed us to king size the next day which was good.
During the stay, we wanted plans to go explore the city and book activities. We were given a map and no other much information, I believe its due to language barrier. The second day, like to book a vintage car tour outside the property, he couldn’t seem to be bothered and look at his screen every second chance. I felt like to ask for any information, its a burden. I only met the manager on the last night and the guest relation manager on the last day breakfast. They offer the services that supposed to be given at first day to help guest plan their trip. I don’t expect much but all other hotels I’ve been to have given great advice.
The hotel facilities time are separate, for men its evening and women during the morning. The spa is very beautiful and clean. We didn’t use it as we were out exploring.
I still give 5 stars because everything else is great, it might seem like complaining on a small matter but these things really effect the stay and difficult...
