I am older female originally from England but now live in Turkey. I consider myself relatively fit , but I've let my regular yoga practice slip a little. Naomi is an extremely experienced and knowledgeable teacher. Her aura and spirituality is extraordinary. What a beautiful person. Her initial assessment of me was tailored to my ability, which to my absolute surprise far exceeded anything I thought was within my capabilities. Her teaching style is clear and easily followed, she gently encouraged me into poses and flows, making me feel strong, confident and capable. Palace Gökbel is a little slice of heaven. My room was super clean with a fantastic view. I loved the natural pool and the shady olive grove. Because I live in Turkey I had no reason to take advantage of the trips on offer, so I was more than happy to stay in the grounds relaxing , enjoying the spectacular views, and soaking up the peace and tranquility of the hotel. |Lastly the food, OMG the food. I am vegetarian/vegan. Every meal was restaurant quality, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, all the meals far exceeded my expectations" Çok çok lezzetli " as they say in Turkey. |Both Sean and Naomi are so open, down to earth and welcoming, they made me feel part of their family... We have just left Palace Gokbel after 6 nights of bliss. I am not exaggerating either ;). This incredibly special place that Naomi and Sean have created was hard to leave, and indeed I know I will be back! The surroundings are tranquil, with lots of different areas to spend time in to just 'be', taking you away from all the worries and hectic lives we all lead to somewhere that you can rest, relax, be nourished in both body and soul. Naomi's vegan cooking is delicious and creative ; we looked forward to every meal wondering what she would come up with next! The yoga was varied and challenging at times, practising on the beautiful roof terrace with views to die for, then relaxing at others with some delicious yin sessions that my body so badly needed, as well as some fun vinyasa flows, again showing off Naomi's creative and playful character. Sean was a truly thoughtful host, making sure we always had everything we need, and tending to our requirements for anything extra, and we admire them both for all that they have poured into creating this welcoming haven of peace for those wishing to get away from it all, and reconnect to their true selves - we loved hearing all their stories ! The cats are another wonder to behold - as the place is so big and spacious you are often not aware of just how many Naomi has taken under her wing! Thank you for a wonderful visit and see...
