Ibanga Escape is a little gem in Kichwamba by the highway as you drive to Rukungiri! We stopped by for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how warm and inviting the space is. The lounge area is beautiful, perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a few board games with friends. Jamila, who runs front of house and also doubles as the chef, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The service was as delightful as the atmosphere. They also have lovely cottages available (UGX 350,000 for a single and UGX 700,000 for a double), making it a great stopover or getaway spot. There’s even a swimming pool under construction, which will make this escape even more appealing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! For those seeking adventure, Ibanga Escape offers activities such as cycling tours, hiking tours, boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel, and game drives around Queen Elizabeth National Park. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend if you’re in Kichwamba or Rukungiri and looking for a cozy, relaxing spot!

I recently stayed at Ibanga in Bunyaruguru and was blown away by its charm. It felt like a home away from home. The location is ideal, close to nature's best spots. Every corner of the hotel has a story, and I loved relaxing in the cozy lounge. But the highlight? The food! Those pork ribs were a delightful treat. If you're visiting Bunyaruguru, Ibanga is a must-stay. I can't wait to return!

We had an amazing family holiday at Ibanga Escape in Kichwamba! 🏞️ Just a short drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kyambura Gorge, and other top attractions. The hotel arranged everything—🦁 game drive, 🚤 boat ride, and even a stop at the 🌍 Equator! The cottages were peaceful, private, and perfect for kids 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Super comfy beds 🛏️ with soft cotton linen, and cozy fire pits 🔥 to relax by in the evenings. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious 🍽️. And the coffee? ☕ Simply the best! Highly recommend Ibanga Escape for anyone looking for comfort, nature, and a truly...

I was passing through this area and stopped at Ibanga Escape for lunch and it was fantastic. I had already become obsessed with the famous Ugandan roles, and Ibanga makes a great one! If you are in the area and need to grab food, look no further than Ibanga. I did get a chance to look at their rooms and they looked amazing - personally designed with a local flare. I would definitely stay here next time I'm...
