The location and banda (room) is lovely and the view and sundown are great.||Unfortunately all of this is destroyed by the continuous very loud music, including penetrating bass that very intrusively permeates all the rooms throughout the day until 8pmish so the is no opportunity for any rest and relaxation until about that time when you don’t any longer have the opportunity to swim or relax, subath etc.||The biggest issue however is the clientele who when we stayed we extremely loud and obnoxious, mostly completely drunk and very confrontational. When the noise from the hotel system is off the guests start up with their barrage of bluetooth speakers which are on day and night and come back on in the early morning. As all the bandas are adjacent to everything this noise permeates all the rooms again.||The staff do not in any way challenge this and allow uncontrolled drunkenness and very inconsiderate behaviour and have to be pushed hard to take any action. When they do this is done in a completely unprofessional way and they will identify anyone who has asked for some quite or made a complaint causing serious conflict between guests and exacerbating the problematic behaviour. ||This is extremely unprofessional and makes any experience here in the end one that is very poor and not one you would want to repeat.||The food is not bad but nothing special and the drinks are simply the standard across the whole of uganda. ||My wife did this the piña colada was extremely good. ||A nice place destroyed by a lack of real professionalism and an extremely poor clientele who are set no expectations for...

Read moreI will never return to Pelican Lodge, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.||||I had been there once before with my husband, and we had a nice time — we weren’t staying overnight, but they welcomed us warmly. That’s the memory I had, so I decided to go back with a friend for her birthday. Big mistake.!!!!!||||This time, the staff treated us like we didn’t belong. Because we didn’t have a reservation, they told us we had to pay 100,000 UGX each just to be allowed in — not as an entry fee, but as a “minimum spend” to prove we were serious customers. It felt like they were testing whether we had enough money to be there. It was insulting, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary.||||We were bounced like we were causing trouble — just two women trying to enjoy a birthday afternoon. It was clear we weren’t welcome.||||The place might look nice, but the attitude is ugly. If you want to be judged, questioned, and made to feel small, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save your money and go somewhere that actually respects its guests.||||Uganda has so many better places to visit. Pelican Lodge is not worth your time or your...
