Lake Bunyonyi eco-village — Hotel in Kabale

On one of my solo travels, I found myself in Lake Bunyonyi. Being a city girl I found it heavenly. The hills next to the lake makes it look more beautiful. It is amazing how beautiful and deeply the lake is without dangerous creatures in it. The best times to swim is usually in the morning and evening when the water is not that cold. Just above Isaac place, there is short forest would recommend you to go there, you will get an amazing view of the lake and hills. To go across to the other hill you will have to use a canoe or boat, I would recommend a canoe, it was a lovely experience especially that was my first time on it and I got to learn too. Isaac, his family and the community are friendly people, always ready to assist and share. I got to learn so much especially on how we really don't need materialistic stuffs to be happy. Also they have their own beer like, maybe give it a try and Isaac told me he opened a restaurant/bar, who wouldn't want to take a beer at night as you bonfire, which usually happens every night as the family tells you generations stories about the lake. Amazing sunrise and sunsets. Very basic amenities, the shower pressure is wonderful, though it does take literally 6mins to heat up. It's lovely eco-village living and styling. Magnificent views of various maintains and of Lake Bunyonyi, otters and other wildlife .
