I had the pleasure of staying at Kaswa Lodge in Fort Portal, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and the serene, homely atmosphere of the place.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and everything you need for a relaxing stay. The surroundings are quiet and green, offering beautiful views of the lush Fort Portal hills – perfect for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

What stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making my stay enjoyable. Whether it was arranging transportation, giving local recommendations, or just having a friendly chat, they went above and beyond.

The location is also ideal – close to the town center, but just far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. It’s a great base if you’re exploring places like Kibale Forest, Amabere Caves, or Crater Lakes.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful, new guest house with excellent customer service. We originally booked off reviews, and we can absolutely confirm that this place lives up to it's positive reviews. Martha who runs the guest house is so lovely, going above and beyond to help with planning activities, finding mysterious hot springs and making you comfortable during your stay. The beds are spacious, room amenitities new and the view spectacular. They bring breakfast to your bedroom veranda each morning and you can choose from pancakes, french toast, fresh juice, eggs, hashbrowns etc, all complimentary. Amazing place! We LOVED it! We stayed for two nights that were absolutely perfect! We highly recommend and if there were more than five stars we would have rate it that way. Raymond and Matha were welcoming and made us feel at home from the first moment. The food was great and so so delicious! The room was well designed and very clean, so is the whole farm. We even got a tour in it and fed the goats and milked the cows. During all our stay Raymond and Matha helped us and advised us on the things there are to do in this area.
