I recently had the pleasure of staying at Monyonocommonwealth Resort, and I must say it was an exceptional experience in every aspect. I had the pleasure of staying at the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, and I must say it was a truly fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, the level of hospitality was unmatched.

The location is breathtaking—nestled right on the shores of Lake Victoria, the views are serene and captivating. Waking up to the sight of the lake and the gentle breeze was a highlight of my stay. The well-maintained gardens, lush greenery, and stunning landscaping added to the tranquility.

The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and elegantly furnished. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail—from the soft linens to the thoughtful amenities—was outstanding. My room had a private balcony that offered a perfect vantage point to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The dining experience was world-class. The restaurants offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, blending local Ugandan flavors with international cuisine. The fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and attentive service made every meal memorable.

Where do I start?

The good: the views next to the lake are fantastic.

The bad: we went to the lakeside restaurant. It was raining that day so everyone was trying to find cover. There were an abundance of waiters but not even one came to get us seating. However, when white people joined, about three rushed to their aid.

We ended up standing for about 10 minutes watching the waiters talking amongst themselves. My sister and I had to walk into the rain, grab chairs and walk back. The food was sub-par. And the experience ruined our entire outting. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.

Secondly, their swimming pool section. First of all, it's incredibly overpriced. I'm not sure which average Ugandan family could possibly afford their entrance fee (considering the average family has 5 people). Clearly they are targeting foreigners (white folk to be precise), which is disgusting to say the least.

Their gym facilities are nice and I enjoy their suana. However, their food is not that great and to top it off, their prices are exclusive of VAT so you end up paying more than their food is worth.

Overall, I'm unhappy with this establishment. I would maybe go for a photoshoot as I see many others doing, but it's far from a favoured...
