TICK HOTEL — Hotel in Kampala

I just visited the king fisher restaurant in the tick hotel and I must talk about one waitress we didn’t bother to get the name who saw us coming in and gave us this look of: THIS IS NOT YOUR KIND OF PLACE LADIES, worse still, after looking at us suffering with where to sit, she approached our table to ask how we were, and stood there looking at us with open eyes a gaze without a menu with her(another gesture that we were not welcome to the place). She did brought the menu after us requesting for it. At the time we were ready to order, she was busy chitchatting with another waitress and we had to wave our hands till one waiter saw us and I must say he changed our experience, (he was very attentive, suggestive and gave us a warm service, though he was also not very informed about the drinks and some food but appreciated his service) food was quick to get to the table. I was also happy that finally the manager came to our table to ask about our experience. Tick Hotel, located on Bombo Road, exceeded all my expectations during my recent stay. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff members were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay.

Disappointed The places looks nice but that's all. I went there to order pizza on the buy one get one free deal they have. Which is 30,000 for a pizza buy one get one free so on the promotion it states mixed meat pizza so I order. A couple of minutes later I was told it would be 50,000 because that pizza cost more. Now I don't believe a pizza costs 50k anywhere in kampala at a similar place. So I then changed to a chicken pizza which was 30k. So false advertising they are guilty of.

Once I got my pizza which I had to wait over 30 minutes for. They made a big mistake they put two pizzas in the same box with a piece of tin foil making the bottom one stick to the foil. The pizza was the worst pizza in Uganda the pizza base wasn't cooked and the toppings tasteless. And pizza was small. For 30k you can get a much much better pizza on the same deal and pizza will be cooked and tasty. If this is how they cook and charge for pizza I wouldn't want to any other food from this overpriced poor quality...
