So, my mum, baby brother and I decided to hit Uganda, and guess where we landed? Ubuntu Palace Hotel! That was the jackpot. The staff, they weren't just staff – they were like our long-lost buddies, making us feel at home from the get-go, everyone was very polite and friendly and always greeted you with a smile. They are the true definition of hospitality. ||First off, they sorted our ride from the airport after checking our flight details. The rooms were amazing. Clean and spacious, we stayed in a family room and there was more than enough space for 3 adults to chill comfortably. The beds were so big, sheets were clean and neat, I normally struggle to sleep in new places but I found myself struggling to get out of bed every morning because their beds are so comfortable. And the bathroom? big, clean, and hot water 24/7 with incredible water pressure. Hot showers in Uganda? Winning!||And breakfast? Don’t get me started. Fresh, hot, filling and so delicious. We were offered a variety of options everyday, sandwiches, potatoes, sausages, eggs, chapati, hot chocolate (my favorite), black tea, coffee (my brother’s favorite) And herbal tea (my mums favorite option) and so many fruits, pineapples, watermelon, bananas. They take the term “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” very seriously. Perfect fuel for our adventures. Plus, our family room had a beautiful balcony with city views. Wi-Fi was on point, too – stayed connected, did some work, and sent jealous/fomo inducing pics to friends and family back home.||Mr. Sam, the manager, deserves a shoutout. He helped us with tips on staying safe while in Kampala, drove us around the city, drove us to church and back and advised us on what interesting activities we could do around the area, and made sure our Uganda trip went smoothly. When our plans went awry Mr Sam was kind enough to make some calls and help us get our issue sorted even though he really didn’t have to. He was such a great help and we were so grateful to have met him. ||Dinner? Delivered to our room with no room service fee or anything. Food was served hot and fresh and so delicious. Complimentary water was placed in our room after housekeeping passed through every morning and cold drinks could be ordered from the kitchen. Would be great to have mini fridges in the rooms but in the meantime room service was doing a great job of serving ice cold drinks everytime we called. ||Security was too-notch, the hotel was gated and there was a security guard present at all times and there were cctv cameras on the property which gave us peace of mind as foreigners in Uganda for the first time. ||When they found out our flight was a late night flight, they offered a late checkout. My family and I were more than happy to head back up to our room and relax, watch tv, abuse the free wifi a little bit more and had lunch. The wonderful ladies at the reception arranged our transport back to the airport for us allowing us the luxury to check out at 4p.m at no extra charge. ||Ubuntu Palace, you’re like our second home. Can’t wait to head back. Oh, and Denise, one of the awesome ladies there? She went above and beyond. On her day off, she walked me to nearby shops, gave me the lowdown on the area, and showed me where to buy what I needed. She didn’t have to, but major props for making sure we guests are extra safe. You rock, Denise! 🌟|Ubuntu Palace! Thank you for having us. You guys made us feel like part...

Read moreUbuntu Palace in the suburb of Kampala Uganda, the hotel looked nice and I choose to spend a night there after long working trip to Northern Uganda.||The beds are nice, staff are good, good hot shower in the room. However the disappointment was with the breakfast. A good hotel would crown a night with a good breakfast for its clients.||The receptionist called my room at 8.am notifying me that the breakfast was ready, to my surprise they were serving tea and bread for breakfast which I thought was below my expectation.||When I asked the waiter for at least juice and a fruit the advised me to give them money so that they can buy me a pack of juice and bananas from the nearby trading centre which I thought was awful for a such hotel to do. Especially after asking you to pay for Bed and breakfast.||Abdul...
