Primate Lodge is a breathtaking retreat nestled deep into the jungles of Uganda. Surrounded by lush vegetation and wildlife, it is the perfect setting fora serene and relaxing vacation. The lodge is located near Kibale Forest National Park, home to a variety of primates, including chimpanzees, and offers guests a unique opportunity to experience an exceptional wildlife adventure.

The lodge offers a range ofaccommodations, from comfortable standard rooms to more luxurious and spacious cottages. Each room is beautifully designed with local materials, giving guests a sense of being in a traditional African setting. The rooms are also equipped with modern amenities such as hot showers, comfortable beds, and Wi-Fi to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay.

One of the standout features of Primate Lodge is the excellent service provided by the staff. They are friendly, accommodating and genuinely care about the guests' comfort during their stay. The chefs prepare delicious and healthy meals, with fresh ingredients sourced from the nearby communities.

Another highlight of the lodge is its location. It is situated amid lush greenery, making it a perfect place to unwind and relax. You can take a stroll in the nearby forest and spot some of the resident primates or bird-watch, or visit the nearby Bigodi wetland sanctuary.

Overall, Primate Lodge is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an authentic African experience, a peaceful environment, and a chance to experience wildlife up close. It is suitable for honeymooners, families or solo-travelers looking for an adventure in the wild, plus it is mindful of environmental conservation. Highly recommended.......

Staying at Primate Lodge Uganda was one of the most magical and memorable experiences of my entire trip. Nestled right inside the Kibale National Park, this lodge gives you the rare opportunity to sleep in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of nature and under a sky full of stars.

The staff were absolutely exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like part of their extended family. Every detail, from the welcome drinks to the turn-down service, was carried out with care and hospitality.

The rooms (or more accurately, beautiful cottages) are comfortable, stylish, and perfectly integrated into the natural environment. You wake up to the calls of chimpanzees and the rustling of the forest—it’s like nature’s own alarm clock! The lodge runs in harmony with the ecosystem, making it not only a luxurious stay, but also an eco-conscious one.

The food was absolutely delicious—freshly prepared, locally sourced, and served with love. Every meal felt like a homemade feast, and they easily catered to different dietary preferences.

What truly sets this place apart is its location: just steps away from the starting point of chimpanzee trekking. No long drive needed—you’re already there! After the trek, you come back to a warm shower, friendly smiles, and a peaceful jungle ambience...

Incredible place to stay for nature lovers. Service was outstanding, they clean your shoes and do laundry at no extra cost. Innocence (spelling?) was so attentive to our needs. Drinks were included with meals which were excellent. One of the staff gave us a guided walk through the forest showing us various plants used for medicine and those that were poisonous.

You are truly in the rain forest. At night I woke up needing to go to the toilet and thought I was blind, it was pitch black and I could not see my hands in front of me. Then I opened the curtains and saw a glimmer of light in the sky. Next night I kept the flashlight next to me.

This is 5 minutes to where the chimpanzee station is for the morning walk. It only took 5 minutes to spot numerous chimpanzees. I was surprised there was only one other couple staying there. This was the best lodge we stayed...
