I have stayed at Elite about four times now. It is a convenient location for me for work. However, despite the great ambiance they have around I don't think I will come back to stay ever again. Two months ago I found a bedbug in my bed. I flagged this to staff. Before I came back I called the manager to check if they have handled the situation. I have just returned home from staying here months later to find myself covered in bed bug bites again. I stayed in a different room than before. In addition the rooms are REALLY dusty. I have a dust allergy and my allergic response has been on fire everytime staying here!! It doesn't look like they're cleaned before arrival, I have found bugs and roaches in my room on arrival. Oh also, on my recent visit the water was running brown.

Pros: Nice environment, fire at night (Some) friendly staff Pool (although small) Nice pizza (pizza oven) Pretty birds For me the location is convenient

Cons: Bed bugs Dusty and dirty rooms Brown water in shower and tap Early Breakfast (7am) is really slow (takes 45 mins even after telling them your breakfast time) Service is quite slow Social areas are directly in front of rooms and outside visitors come for dinner there so it can be loud

I won't be...

Very nice small lodge with a clean pool and lovely staff. We felt very comfortable thanks to the lovely staff at the reception and the restaurant. The rooms are clean and have enough space. The bar and poolside are all inviting. The do good cappuccino.

The only thing they could improve on is their collaboration with a driver and breakfast quality. We needed transport to proceed our journey but the driver of this lodge, David, was not willing to bargain at all and very expensive. He offered us a transport for 500000 which we refused as we found a driver from another hotel nearby taking us happily for 250000 for the exact same way.

Breakfast was not many options and the cook was playing on his phone while cutting onions for omeletteโ€ฆnot really hygienic. He was...

Great

A fantastic welcome by the singing orchestra of 300 Weaver-Birds. Slept wonderfully under the silk sheets, the breakfast, in the first morning sun at the edge of the beautiful swimming pool. Hospitality is a top priority here and effortlessly compensates for small things, such as power outages in the village, or the dusty roads around Masaka. The chefs in the kitchen are professionals as well as the barista. Nowhere in Uganda have I drunk such delicious coffee. (From a local coffee farmer) You can choose from 29 different excursions, safari trips with your own tourist buses and guides. A real recommendation for explorers and nature lovers. The...

We booked here by chance. But it was good to stay. The location is a little bit distant from the center of the city and the area is quiet. The small swimming pool is available to cool down. The name has "backpackers", but it's more than for backpackers. Log houses are comfortable enough to enjoy and relax. The restaurant has plenty space and tasty dishes. I ordered fish dish "Sakana". And it was huge whole fish. The manager and workers were so friendly. I recommend here for families, non backpackers also.
