Read moreMount Moroto is one of the best spots to stay in Moroto. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, and yes sometimes the restaurant service is a little slow, and sometimes they don't have everything on the menu, but I'm not sure what people who stay in Moroto are expecting. This is a pretty rural and removed area to begin with. There's steady water, steady electricity (a backup generator kicks in within about 5 minutes after the power goes), good food, helpful staff, and solid rooms. Breakfast includes an egg station with eggs made to order, toast, other pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, and tea.||||I stayed in one of the rooms within the building (as opposed to a cabin) and it was pleasant- a TV, desk, and bed along with a bathroom with hot water. Note- some of the water heaters were broken in some of the rooms, but they were always quick to attend to any maintenance needs.||||The one drawback is that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything happening in the rooms next to you. Further, be warned- like all other accommodations in Moroto, there is no WiFi, but cell service is...

Spacious and comfortable, with digital TV, comfortable beds and seating area, private veranda with table and chairs and a kitchenette with kettle and sink. Contrary to another report, we found the water very soft. The food is basic, but not at all bad. I had chicken stew, pizza and a sandwich and all were fine. Almost everything was branded, even pillows and towels, which is a nice touch. The whole place was very clean. |What’s not so good? Hot water only to the shower, not to the sink in the kitchen or bathroom. Had to boil a kettle to shave. There were bare electric cables connected to the shower. The waiting times for food are unacceptable. Even ordering half an hour in advance, we still had to wait nearly an hour for some dishes. Forty minutes for a fruit juice. If you asked what was happening "working on it".|The new Hotel Africana is due to open soon, this will give Mt Moroto real...
