I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Governor’s Hotel in Mukono and I must say, the customer service and support I received were extremely disappointing. Here's a detailed account of my unpleasant experience:
From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the hotel staff lacked proper training in customer service. The check-in process was disorganized and inefficient, resulting in unnecessary delays. The front desk staff appeared indifferent and unhelpful, failing to provide any information or assistance beyond the basic requirements.
Upon entering my assigned room, I was appalled to find that it hadn't been cleaned. The bed was unmade, and it was clear that no effort had been made to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for guests. This level of neglect and lack of attention to detail is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.
To compound the issue, the room's amenities were subpar. The washroom doors didn't close properly, compromising privacy and creating an uncomfortable situation, particularly when sharing the room with someone else. It felt as if these doors were merely decorative rather than functional. Such a blatant disregard for guests' privacy is completely unacceptable.
The most frustrating part of my stay was when I attempted to have breakfast the following morning. To my disbelief, I was informed that an additional fee was required for breakfast, despite having already paid the exact amount quoted for the room. This lack of transparency and the expectation of additional charges left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Overall, my experience at Governor’s Hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. The lack of professionalism and attention to detail displayed by the staff was deeply disappointing. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone, no matter how appealing it may appear on the outside. The poor customer service, unclean room, privacy issues, and unexpected charges have left me thoroughly dissatisfied.
