Was at lake side escape in Mukono Uganda for a team bonding activity sponsored by the organization I work for (UVRI-IAVI). I am a Ugandan by Nationality but interestingly, I hadn't known of this place. Its so hidden and to tell the truth, really isolated from the main land. Accessibility by road is not that so easy. Advantage is that there are road signs for the Hotel right up from the main highway. So one can not get lost even if you are self driven.||||We were told accessibility is much more easier by Lake from one of the landing sites at Entebbe. This can be arranged. By road, it took us about 2 hours from Kampala keeping in mind that the road is not that good once you leave the main tarmac road. The Hotel I would say is surrounded by the jungle. Just nature around. Lots of trees of different types. With lots of birds. Very excellent for nature walks. They have some bikes on site for those who may be interested in bike riding. Though unfortunately due to our tight schedule for the day, we didn't get the opportunity to go riding.||||The location is just on the lake side (Lake Victoria). Just less than a minute's walk to reach the lake. Totally away from urban life, no passing cars, no nearby shopping malls, no urban noise. Just the sound of the birds and the lake. Its a good place to go relax and enjoy the weekend but to me rather too isolated and quiet. Rooms have no Television to which the management clearly says is intentional. That they need their guests to relax. However u can access one at the restaurant / bar. ||||The accommodation is typical African Hut set up though the inside has modern wash rooms which were okay. Tables, wardrobes, chairs all have a local design. And look good. They have a number of games both indoor and out door. Swimming pool is available though rather small. Huts are well labelled.||||And so are the surrounding tree species with a little information about them. Out door tents can be arranged on request. They had to set up some for us because of our big number (We spent the night there). ||||The food is good. I really enjoyed their meals more especially the break fast.||In summary, its a good place for relaxation though too quiet and isolated for me. Totally away from urban environment. I guess that's why my organization chose it for the team bonding activity. There is nothing like running...

Read moreReally undecided between 4 and 5, it's a 4.5 and I decided to put 5 stars.
PROS: really good location, also the road is not so bad just some marram but really doable.
food is good
rooms are spacious and nice overlooking the lake.
swimming pool and things for kids are extremely good
no problem with power always on
CONS: music in a relaxing place where you go to don't have the kampala noise should be or not there or really relaxing and not loud. We had a full afternoon of music similar to be in a club. It really doesn't make sense for me, since you are there to listen to birds and to lake waves.
bank cards are not accepted, when you have those prices around 800k per a family of 4 per day you must accept them. You can't force people to move with millions of shillings around. Even because as usual in Uganda everybody want cash, but then do not have change... and it...
