Mwana Highway Hotel — Hotel in Nkono

Cheapest hotel in Iganga and still not worth the price! I've had to stay here twice and each time moved rooms several times. I don't think there is a working shower in any of the rooms. When the water does come out of the nozzle it leaks or the cord gets blocked and water barely comes out. There is no hot water. Power doesn't work in some rooms. There are bugs everywhere, including quite the spider infestation in the restaurant. Prices for rooms change depending on who is at the front desk. The worst part is that Club David is across the street and the hotel sits off of the main highway so the hotel is SO loud! Bring earplugs if you want to...

Mwana hotel never used to be as big and cleaner as it is today. The hotel has taken some leaps over the past years and we can say that it can now host various guests that are on their journey to Kampala or Kenya. I believe its the biggest hotel in the area and there would be no other choice if it regards a good accommodation in the area. This is not a 5-start but i see the management doing all the best to get the best services...

Mwana highway has retrogressed from what i knew. I stopped there so my family could buy lunch as a take away i.e. packed real food. The disappointment is that they had food but no packing materials. But on a good note their rest rooms have been improved greatly amd were very clean when i visited. It is a big improvement from the stench that crept into the restaurant area...
