Thursday night I Went to heritage with friends to get pizza after getting a recommendation from a friend. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a delightful cozy setting and friendly staff, the place is not busy and affords one privacy, quiet and relaxation. The menu isn't so huge but offers quite a variety dishes to choose from but we noted that most of the items were not available on order due to lack of ingredients to prepare them. So be mindful that the waiter has to first confirm with the kitchen after you make the order whether it can be made or not!!! We were unable to get the pizza as they had run out of ingredients. So had to change our orders which dampened our excitement abit. The waiter informed us that our meat options were limited to fish, pork and chicken as that's all they had in stock. we finally opted for two fried tilapia but also found we had to settle for one as had only one left, exotic fruit platter and chicken fried rice .The process of taking orders took over 15 minutes due to several changes, but the waiter was helpful and patient, the food took about 30 minutes to get ready and it was delicious when it finally came.
Despite the fact that most of what we wanted wasn't available, we had a surprisingly pleasant...
Read moreWe were in Rukungiri for a wedding and spent two nights here. It's well located, on top of a hill not far from the town centre, and has a very pleasant view. The rooms, in a separate block set slightly apart from the main building, are comfortable, and the main meals were pretty good.||||There's room for improvement on the breakfasts, which were standard fare of sweet bread, blue band and spanish omelette, along with the ubiquitous nescafe. Also, we had some serious problems with the plumbing in our room. No hot water for starters, but worse was the loo that flooded the small bathroom every time it was flushed (flooded with clean water thankfully).||||I would also point out that the hotel grounds, though unfinished in terms of landscaping, are a popular spot for weddings and other functions, so the place can get pretty crowded and noisy, especially at weekends.||||With a bit of attention to the plumbing and some finishing of the grounds, Heritage would be a perfectly pleasant place to spend a night...
Read moreHotel was adequate. Many from our party have stayed here before. Unfortunately, even with months of planning our group had our rooms separated by about a quarter mile. Way too far to ever meet up, share items or have a discussion. Electricity worked most of the time. Showers never worked nor were they hooked up. Hot water was delivered to the rooms at a predetermined time for bathing. Unfortunately, that too was sporadic and unpredictable. Some in our party NEVER in four days had water for bathing even though the night before this arrangement was guaranteed. Food was decent but that too was always later than scheduled and at times we had to leave before even getting coffee in the morning. Things were challenging but the hotel was close to where we needed to be. Some rooms had a nice view. Food was good. One thing that was on time was when we were checking out and employees came out of the woodwork to help carry bags but my guess is that had more to do with...
