"Experience QENP with safety and sophistication"
We had a memorable experience at Ishasha Wlderness Camp during our 2 nights over there.
First of all, being able to stay within the wild is a unique experience in itself. We even slept to the sound of buffalo grazing around our tent.
And second, because the service and experience provided by the staff is impressive. Everyone, great professionals, attentive and charismatic, simply charmed us during our stay there. Premium service with delicious meals and a variety of activities to further enjoy the surrounding nature.
We did 3 activities with the Ishasha Wildness Camp team. A safari, a sundowner (with drinks and snacks) and a bush breakfast. All the activities were great but especially the sundowner was a highlight that we strongly recommend. During all activities, besides the IshashaWC staff (who gave us a wildlife lesson), there was also a security team available as a precaution, so we felt very safe. If you want more than just a safari, then Ishasha Wildeness Camp is the place to go.
Read moreWe spent two nights at Ishasha Wilderness camp from Exclusiv Camps in late June I absolutely loved the concept and atmosphere You are truly feeling into the wild You can get visit from buffalos, elephants, monkeys or even lions and leopards anytime That was wonderful The camp is located along the Ishasha river between forest and savanna, which makes it really nice ! Unfortunately the food was not good while we were there, and in small quantities as well as no great choices for vegetarians/vegan options Also the camp offers bush breakfasts and sundowners which I highly recommend because Ishasha is very suitable for it. But you should ask to do it facing the valley, because the other location that they use when the land is burned, is not nice at all The staff was very nice and great service, but we did not feel they were trying to make our stay special which makes the difference They were caring more about some people and less to others And it’s also a pity that we had young children during our stay that were very noisy and the team did not say anything It was very disturbing to have such noises when being in the middle of the nature The tents, facing the river, were absolutely perfect You will get the feeling to be a real explorator Luxury, comfortable, beautiful and well imagined ! Nothing was missing We loved the bathroom products Beds and bedsheets are so comfortable as well as towels You also have bathrobes and flip flops and a night torche with mosquito repellent Also at night you will love the fire camp on the river after a romantic diner under the stars with candles The temperature was perfect, not too hot not too cold and no insects Wifi and network were not working good because the camp is in the real wilderness
I would not recommend to visit Ishasha when they burn the park because it is really looking sad and you won’t see many animals

Read moreAbsolutely loved my stay at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, except that I wish it had been for longer - one night just wasn't enough.
There are many great things about the camp, but one standout is the fact that it's the only lodge located inside the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This means that you can stay just that little later inside the park on an evening game drive, without having to rush out before 7pm.
Every member of staff that I met was wonderful. They were all passionate about ensuring all their guests had a great time. I didn't arrive in time for lunch, but dinner was lovely. Four courses left me absolutely stuffed! We sat outside on the lawn with lights all around us which was magical (and very romantic - except that I was travelling alone!).
The tents are more than tents - they're huge, with an enormous bed and spacious bathroom. It's clear the owners are focused on sustainability, and provide fresh drinking water in jugs (not plastic bottles) and eco-friendly bath products. Hot water is delivered on demand for showers.
The highlight of my visit was the Sundowner that my guide had secretly arranged for me. As we finished up an afternoon game drive we stopped at an area that the Ishasha team had set up. There was a bar with an array of beverages, snacks, even a toilet! It was surreal sitting with a G&T as the sun went down, birds flying around and hyena and warthogs down below.
I hope that I can return again to Ishasha Wilderness Camp...
