Once I had stayed at another Reikartz hotel which was very good, probably because of that I was disappointed with this stay. This Hotel is really nothing to shout about: location is near the river but far away from the center of the town, extremely lot of river mosquitos (receptionist told me that they dont bite but it was still unpleasant). The hotel has good possibilities for meetings, several meeting rooms and restaurant/bar. Interior is old. I had stayed at Standard Grand room and it was totally not convenient. Bathroom was the worst I have ever experienced in the hotel rooms: strange position of the little sink with narrow space in front of it, dirty parts of the shower cabin, air vent worked only if light in the bathroom was switched on and it was insufficient to remove humidity after shower even in half an hour. There was no suitcase support in the room. TV has about 15 channels available and about half of them didnt work properly (no sound or no image), only one foreign language (English) channel worked properly. My room was with balcony but I didnt use it because of mosquitos. Bed was hard but it was ok for me. There was a safe in the room but it didnt work. Working zone (table) is absolutely useless, table is too small with place only for still water (free), wine bottle (150 hrn) and snacks. No local lighting of working zone and the table is set in the darkest place of the room in such way that sitting in front of that table guest shadows it additionally. It was just impossible work even during the daytime. Breakfast was not so good, wide variety of food but some of them I found not tasty as well as coffee. There must be explanation in any language that pancakes are filled with chicken stuffing and are not sweet as next to them sweet options were placed and first time I took pancakes and used...
Read moreThis hotel clerk lied & refused to service even ONE LOUSY cup of hot water and elementray lie about he did not understand *what is hot water in English; yet, he understood English perfectly before than. **Chilling & worst of all, when I was ready to check out, the male desk clerk, must be supervisor, added that I drank 2-beers, when in fact I have been non-drinker, non-smoker all my life! My tour manager paid very small amount, I could buy 2,000 bears easily with dollar conversion, just let me check out; if I had disputed, he would tell hotel employees to put two-empty beers in my room and called police saying I refused to pay. That is how Reikatz treated me, American, and when I wrote for explantion, never bother to reply! Given horrible, the worst possible service, if you can call that as service for refusing to give one cup of hot water, spine chilling accusation, dirty lie, that I drank beer and the male desk supervisor *conviniently never present when I was ready to check out! Given this fact, I would very much discoaurge anyone, esp. fellow Americans, to seek out this hotel...
Read moreI enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The hotel is just outside of the city but a taxi arrives very quickly and fees to town are 2.50 to 5.00 US. There is a restaurant next door with very good food. There is also a bar that some nights has music. I did not visit the bar but it seemed popular. When I stay in Mykolaiv again I will stay here. The slight inconvenience of being slightly outside downtown is greatly overcome by how attractive the river is..On the weekend there was some noise at night but nothing like Odessa, where noise is all night long. There is free parking. I am a Hilton Diamond member and the hotel was cleaner than many Hilton properties in the US. Only bad thing.. no soap in the bathroom or shower dispensers. However, unless you are extremely snobby, you will like this hotel. Very good by any...
