Premier Hotel Shafran — Hotel in Сумська міська громада

There are two things that bug me about this hotel: weird (to put it nicely) cheapish room design and tiny (compared to extremely spacious suite) bathroom. But as long as sleep quality remains excellent and cuisine is good, Shafran will most probably remain my choice #1 in Sumy. ||||LOCATION and GROUNDS: the hotel is slightly off (but pretty near) the city centre. Just perfect for my needs: repeated Sumy visitor, I choose Shafran as a road trip base, not for city exploration. It stands away from busy roads, but right next to H12 to Okhtyrka, Kharkiv, or Poltava. This means, on one hand, low or no noise from traffic, and on the other – easy drive out of town. ||||As a matter of interest, with shabby small huts in front and shipshape mansions behind it, Shafran is like dividing line between two worlds. And so it seems from the inside: the hotel pretends to look posh, but in no way it is. There’s no feeling of extra comfort, and it leaves somewhat mixed feelings. But then the price implies no luxury, too, and is budget-friendly. ||||Absence of elevator must have been deemed as a compensation for absence of a gym. The hotel is a non-smoking area, but sometimes smokers (must be the restaurant visitors) would gather in front of the hotel. ||||ROOM/SUITE: was amazingly spacious. It had a small balcony, not too large to spend time on it and overlooking private houses, but good to get some fresh air. The sleeping zone with a large kingsize bed was very inviting. And sleeping quality was the best part of stay, which outweighed minor faults for me. The bed was perfect: large and firm enough, with comfy pillows. Linen was of high quality, not irritating. ||||While the rest of the room looked a bit tired; not sure if this impression was caused by wrinkled curtains, or the wall-paper, or thick flooring roll... The suite was well-stocked, with a safe-box, a mini-bar and a kettle as well as some tea, coffee and complimentary water, replenished daily. ||||I would have eagerly agreed the room was smaller for the bathroom to have extra space! The latter was tiny, with no place at all for the cosmetics I needed daily (and that is not much, believe me!). Taking a shower in the bath was also not the most enjoyable experience, especially with a curtain as a cover. The toiletries on offer were non-exciting. Slippers and bathrobe were available||||EATING: Room service was poor. On my first stay they weren’t too efficient in getting the order, called back few times to say this or that position was missing and eventually brought the wrong dessert. So next time we opted for a restaurant. ||||The restaurant food is heavy, oily and not too healthy (quite typical for this type of cuisine), but good. Rabbit stewed in sour cream is my favourite here, as well as fried potato with mushrooms (so very unhealthy, but just irresistible at times). ||||SERVICE: is mixed. On my first stay, a housekeeper failed to take dirty plates away for two days; must have thought I was going to finish the dessert I didn’t order. No big issues next time. The restaurant service was leisurely and somewhat relaxed, but highly trained. Receptionists were always top notch: welcoming and insightful. || ||PARKING: is not too convenient. It’s nowhere near the entrance, but at the shorter end of the long hotel building. On my first stay, this made me drive along to find the entrance then track back and carry luggage from the parking. The lot is large, but during a banquet all convenient (nearest) space was full; that happened only...

The hotel is located abput 2.5 km away from the city center. The room was spacious and clean. Minibar, shower, bathroom, good bed. The aircondition was much too weak, so it was very hot at night (about 28 deg C during the day and of course cooler at night). I could open one window at night because it had a flyscreen. The personnel was attentive and spoke good English. Good breakfast in the hotel restaurant (choice of four cooked meals, to be made immediately in advance at check-in), included in the room charge. I paid about 45 € for one night for a single room which is a very reasonable price.||I did not have time to use any of the other hotel services. The hotel also runs a restaurant. The internet was free and fast.||The room was in the second floor, no lift available. The ladies at the reception offered to carry my suitcase upstairs. However, as a male I did not accept this offer. This may be a problem for handicapped or...

Я довго думав чи писати відгук...але доля сама вирішила це! Так як 20.08.2023 надійшов Запит від офіційного сайту Прем'єр! І так розповідаю: Ми приїхали в готель Шафран десь близько 23:00 (03.08.2023-04.08.2023) вечора вже було і нас зустрів чоловік адміністратор і запропонував номер люкс за 1500 грн замість мого заброньованого номеру! Ми з дружиною бистро погодилися на цю пропозицію так як це люкс))! Після того як він відкрив номер ми зайшли і поселився він пішов і сказав що зараз принесе рушники і тапки - хоча вони вже повинні були бути!!! Далі ми побачили що номер зовсім не готовий ! Тапочок не було, а постіль взагалі помята і саме головне від чого ми не очікували від мережі готелів Прем'єр - це те що на постіль була в крові і в соплях!!!!! Фото докази моя дружина сфотографувала і зберегла!! Так що можу надіслати додатково! Але це був не кінець історії ))) Після цього мені довелося спускатися і знову розшукувати адміністратора бо телефон не працював в моєму номері 208! Після висказаних претензій він бистренько запропонував наш інший люкс але ситуація з не свіжою постілью в номері навпроти виявилася такою самою!!! Це просто жах і великий мінус готелю Шафран і удар по репутації мережі готелів Прем'єр! Після цього він відкрив підсобне приміщення що поруч з моїм номером 208 і почав там шукати нову постіль щоб нам застелити , так як в готелі поївок не було в той час і я їх особисто вже побачив коли йшов на сніданок - сніданок то ще також історія:))) І так він знову зайшов до нас і при нас почав знімати постіль з соплями і переодягати наволочки і пості моя дружина почала йому допомагати)) і сказала що далі вона сама все своїми руками зробить бо їй не приємно що адміністратор чоловік це робить на її очах! Коротше кажучи люксом там навіть не пахне, можливо колись і було але це колись....про підтікаючу лійку в душі-вані я вже мовчу! А про дирку на новій постільній білизні ми вже мовчимо! І так сніданок спустившись вранці я зустрів за столиком на вулиці блондинку адміністратора яка дуже вибачалася за вчорашній інцидент! В мене вже слів і бажання спілкуватися з нею не було! Сніданок як для даного готелю дуже скромний або скупий називайте як хочете - омлет з сосіскою чи сардельки а також салат грецький десь 150 грам! Ах ще кава-чай! В принципі на цьому наші пригоди були закінчені і ми поїхали в місто на таксі залишивши нашу машину на парковці готелю P.S.Чайових ми не залишали)))) P.P.S.Всі мої слова можливо перевірити відвідавши даний номер 208 і піднявши записи з камер якщо вони ще є! P.P.P.S.Прошу розібратися в даній ситуації! Нарешті навести лад в готелі Шафран і повернути мої гроші за зіпсований відпочинок так як соплі і засохша кров не повинні бути в готелях...
