Edem Resort & SPA — Hotel in Bibrka Urban Hromada

Because there are so many good things to say, let me start off with the minor bad things.||||I'm not sure if maybe my room (a superior room) was not correctly stocked when it was cleaned and turned over or maybe this is just a missing thing but there was a definite lack of amenities in the room. ||||Things lacking that seem like normal items for any normal hotel room:||||Iron and ironing board||Tissue paper||No coffee machine or tea in room||Luggage rack (our luggage just ended up open on the floor)||||Extras missing that I would expect for 5 5-star resort:||||Simple toothbrush and toothpaste||Makeup remover towelettes||Shower cap||||I also had an issue with the climate control in the room. Even though I am positive I set it to cool and fan full on and dropped the temperature of 5°c it didn't seem to matter. The temperature in the room started at 25°c and never dropped below 22.5°c. As a Canadian, I am personally a pretty hot person and so I like to keep the temperature at 20°c or cooler especially when outside it was 27°c and sunny while we were at the resort.||||The last minor annoyance was with the spa. My fiancé wanted to get some hot tea which she was told was available at the drink station. But it was inly cold tea available and then behind the counter were some tea pots with times written on paper but no hot tea... it was a bit strange and when she asked (I don't speak Ukrainian) they told her it can be ordered to her room if she wanted hot tea which wasn't the point and she gave up on the idea.||||Now to all of the GOOD things as like I said, the above were minor annoyances.||||The staff here is impeccable and world class. From first meeting the gate guard to the private complex through to the valet and concierge (who does speak English) the staff were very professional and friendly as one should expect. I had informed the hotel we were coming for the purpose of weekend vacation but also that I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend at the resort. The latter part didn't happen (I proposed to her the next day in the Carpathian mountains instead) but on very short notice the staff at my request decorated the room with rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed and complimentary champage bottle (though the rose petals were for about $70USD or $100CAD fee so pretty pricey). The spa area is very nice and included with a Superior grade or better room. They have a large beautiful indoor pool, 3 or 4 different saunas, a salt water hydro therapy pool, kneip path for your feet, and I wish I had many more hours to spend there.||||But the best part of this facility in my view are the grounds. They are massive and very very nice and picturesque. The hotel itself has amazing architecture and from across the lake at night it looks like a renaissance era palace. There are art sculptures, paintings, and statues throughout the sprawling grounds. The gold course looks beautifully kept (I didn't play though so can't comment on how it is to play there).||||But I can comment on the equestrian facility. The staff there once again was extremely friendly and outgoing (though they don't speak English so my fiancé interpreted and did all the talking) but unfortunately perhaps not the greatest mix of horses if equestrianism is really your bag like it is mine. I would have liked to have gone for a gentle proper horseback ride on the grounds or off grounds to someplace close by but all that is offered is an on-the-lead ride with the handler walking and holding your horse. Also, only 1 horse is available for doing this so it pretty much defeated the idea of going on a couples ride (which is why I ended up proposing in the Carpathians on a horseback excursion rather than at Edem Resort as I really wanted the video of my proposal to have horses involved somehow.||||The concierge did manage to accommodate one request which was to do a "lesson" ride with the equestrian handler. But unfortunately all that is available is a very tiny round sand pit (we could call it a round pen but it had no fencing so was just a sand pit really.) The horses there are very nice-looking thoroughbreds that were off the track so I liked that. They were very well taken care of and as a horse owner myself I appreciate their living conditions in the stables but hope they have more stimulation somehow other than a 10m x 10m sand pit to be lunged in. So the riding I could do was just round penning walk/trot which was fine and what I was paying for and informed of. It's kind of a shame with such a large facility and area and beautiful indoor stables that there is not an equally impressive outdoor riding arena, at least for those of us who have significant equestrian riding experience. But again, the fact they had horses at all was a major bonus for me and it was worth the 1000UAH cost just tohave pictures taken in such a beautiful complex. ||||The hotel is also a medical resort and if I had more time I would have loved to do on of their programs for at least 3 days. ||||The restaurants and food are beautiful and the food was great. Especially breakfast in which you can choose 3 items a la carte. I highly recommend the eggs benedict.||||I am sure I will make Edem Resort a stop in my future travels to Lviv. Many of these minor complaints could probably have been resolved by the staff and it is entirely on me most likely for not informing the staff of these shortcomings in my experience at the resort. Mostly I was quite fatigued from a lot of recent travel and had other more important things on my mind than dealing with complaining about the little things this time around. I am sure Edem Resort staff will read this lengthy review and most likely resolve several of these things for future...

From the moment we set foot on the property, during our brief, yet memorable stay and until we fully departed, Mariya contributed tremendously to our unforgettable experience. She personally made sure that our stay was impeccable every step of the way, not to mention that she made herself available for questions and concerns around the clock. During these difficult and unprecedented times, Marya also put our safety, comfort and peace of mind about all, and that truly made a difference. насправді перше враження дуже круте! шампанське, печиво, після прибирання знов залишили цукерки 🙈 все навколо один люкс, але таке враження, що весь бюджет вложили в усе навкруги, але не в номер, для такої ціни номер ДУЖЕ маленький та старий(особливо ДУШ). але сервіс хороший на цьому дякую 💕 на рахунок кухні, що сказати, все складніше ніж здається) для такої ціни, вона більша ніж велика ціна, то до їжі можна було приділити більше уваги, написати інгредієнти(щоб не тратити час офіціанта на розпитування) за каву, матчу і загалом напої, хуже ніж в звичайних отелях, матча взагалі ніяка, лимонади одна кислота та хімія, їжа смачна така як і повинна бути, але якщо в меню написано окрошка, то принесіть окрошку , а не просто якісь овочі залиті в кислому молоці з ВАСАБІ. спа таке саме, звичайне як в любому спа, все доглянуто, пахне, чисте. заспокоїтись відпочити можна, але це можна зробити і в любому іншому класному готелі, будемо ще завтра кататись на конях і грати в гольф, допишу обовʼязково як все пройшло. не хотілося це писати... Візуально все дуже гарно, але внутрішньо не все так гладко, як є Прийшли в ресторан «Terrace», ціни для такого місця були очевидні, але мені принесли матчу за 300грн, де тої матчі взагалі не було і на смак одне молоко, потім американо та лате зі звичайної кавомашинки, а американо на смак, як вода, а не кава, дивно для такого закладу Грамовки порцій не прописані, ти не можеш побачити, що ти береш та граєш в рулетку, тупо витрачаєш час, щоб дізнатися чим ти можеш наїстися На смак тар тар з лосося та курча були мені дуже смачні, до цього питань немає Але от хлопці брали для себе стейки, в меню не прописано це за штуку чи грам. добре, взяли по 900грм 2шт, а жирових частин було не мало, так і в кінці виявилося, що 1200грн це за 100грам, і спочатку в один чек нам додали тільки 200грам, а потім сказала доплатити) На вигляд все супер, а по факту незрозуміло що Окей, якщо б ті стейки дісйно вартували своїх грошей, але по факту - ні

Прикол з номером в тому, що дивлячись на його ціну, ти думаєш, що там буде все, що має бути в номері Але ти приїхав і в тебе немає телевізора, міні бару, праски, шкафчику нормального, чайнику... Може це реально не вписується в їх концепцію, але ми ж не в 2010 році живемо... Тєлік тобі дадуть тільки в номері від 23к))) У батьків Максима в кімнаті взагалі на підлозі валявся пластикова кришка від одноразової бритви та в привітанні в листівки до них зверталися, як «Денис»))) Якщо порівнювати номер в Емілі Резорт за ту ціну, що наш номер - 11к, то там є все те чого немає тут, ще і ремонт новий, але Едем виграє...
