Upon entering the building through the street entrance you end up in a restaurant with a rather offputting smell inside. We asked where the reception was, and instead the waitress offered to accompany us into the hotel. The real entrance to the hotel rooms is through the backyard. After settling the bill (immediately upon arrival) we were issued with room keys and a long list of codes and passwords necessary to enter the hotel. First you enter a 3-digit code to open the gate to the backyard, then another code to enter the building, followed by yet another code for the floor and then the corridor. A bit too much, don't you think? ||||Having said that, the rooms were nice and clean. Both had twin beds, although each one of us was a single occupant. The rooms seem to be situated on the 3rd floor (where you pay) and the 4th floor - note there is no lift. The breakfast is served to your room at the time of your choosing - we asked for 10 am (the latest) - and consists of a boiled egg, two small sausages, a slice of cheese, bread and butter. Breakfast was served in the room as there is no dining room; however, there is no choice except what is presented each day. The staff are friendly and approachable. We had a good cityscape view from our window including the church of the Assumption. Location is close to the main railway station and within walking distance of the main city sights, restaurants and bars. Smoking is permitted in the lounge at the entrance to the main floor.|As this is not an hotel but modernised rooms on the top two floors of an apartment building, there is no lift nor are there any dining facilities. In addition, access is not from the well-decorated street frontage but from the rear of the building through several doors which require entry codes and there are at least two flights of stairs...
