Where do I start?||It was the worst hotel I ever stayed. First of all - nobody spoke there english. I was there for four days, four ladies were at the reception and none of them spoke even one word in english. Excuse me? 3-star hotel in a capital of the country, avialible on booking.com and this happen? I had to use elements of sign language!||Room was dark and very cold, only one ineffective electric heater tried to heat it, with little success. Room was equipped with air conditioner, but they turned it off and took a remote, so I was shaking all the time.||And now - bathroom. Real tragedy - full of fungus and awful stink. Shower was broken, hydromessage nozzles deactivated, water was cold until I turned on electric heater. Dark Fungus was everywhere, whole bathroom, every corner of the shower and even between tiles (fugue). I was affraid to touch anything.||Everything would be cool if it not for the price - it wasn't that low. In comparable price there were apartments near Maidan Nezalezhnosti square. I highly regret my choice.||Like I said - real horror. I don't recommend this hotel. Stay...
Read moreWe booked a room with a jacuzzi. Big mistake. When we arrived, there was a nice lady at the front desk that said that we don't have to pay for all nights in advance - we could pay only for the one night and then decide if we want to stay longer. My alarm bells started to ring but we paid for one night and went to our room.||||At first the awful mold-stentch hit me. I looked around and room looked like in the pictures. So ok. But when I looked more closely, I could see black mold all over tiles and ceilings.||||Jacuzzi did not work. Buttons were broken and screen too. I think the heater in the room was also broken because it didn't do anything.||||Luckily the linens were clean. But inspite of that, I was feeling very cold in the morning and felt like I was having a bad flu. I had to take my boyfriend astma-medicine because I'm allergic to mold. We decided to leave and I started to feel better when I...
Read moreExceptionally helpful and friendly staff! Very nice, clean rooms with comfy big beds and good WiFi. Location is about a 10 minute walk from Kiev's main railway station and reasonably easy to find: exit station south side (where the airport Skybus departs), turn right and walk 200- 300m to the big Ekomarket and turn left to go up the little street another 400-500m). ||||The rooms could use kettles and a fridge. Breakfast costs upward of 4€ (but I didn't have it), but you can usually get a complimentary cup of real coffee/espresso (not horrid instant coffee, like almost everywhere else in the Ukraine). The shower's led control panel (you can programme music and backround sounds) and 16 different spray nozzles/heads can be daunting, but you can easily have a shower without being a rocket scientist. You will have to let the hot water run for many, many minutes...
