Need a ZERO star rating for this JOKE of a "HOTEL" What an absolute DUMP! Where to even start with what is wrong with this place!? It should be shut down! The staff are rude, miserable & incompetent. Extremely unhelpful, no customer service training or knowledge at all. This alone put me off from EVER returning to this hotel and possibly this city. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in accommodation from 1 star to 5 star ... this is a 3 star hotel apparently... They must have PAID for these stars to appear on their wall as the certainly did not earn them and NO WAY they deserve them. I feel sick that i have wasted my hard earned money to stay in this HELL HOLE! My friend and I initially had to pay for the "Luxury Appartment" as there were "no other rooms available" however; the hotel was like a ghost town. Saw a maximum of 6 guests in the whole place. I asked for some shampoo and conditioner but was told "they only have soap in the rooms" Also asked for 2 sachets of coffee as we arrived at 8pm, and were told we couldnt have this either until the next day. REALLY!!????!!! The next day they were banging on out door at 11.55am to get out (checkout 12 midday) DISGUSTED with this mentality. We had to book another night in this place due to previously made plans and availability at other hotels was scarce due to the music festival going on that week. We chose "Twin Standard" (supposedly a grade up from "twin economy") but the room we got was the room shown as twin economy. The "BED" was a thin matress on a solid piece of wood, boardered by wood panelling that was too small for me to lay straight on (i am 5'9") I cut my leg on the boarder and hit my feet and head repeatedly during the night... when i asked reception about where our real beds were no-one would help me. When i showed the CUT on my leg- not even an apology or a care that their guest was injured by their furniture. I then asked to speak to the manager but was left waiting like some piece of #$%@ ...... ......... only to wait 1 hour to then be told there was no manager working here because it was the weekend! SO we thought we would try the "restaurant" Hahahahahahahahahahaha... another JOKE! We could not sit in the restaurant as they had hired it out to a private function- of course. Why would PAYING HOTEL GUESTS EXPECT TO EAT IN A HOTEL THEY WERE PAYING GOOD MONEY FOR?? We were put in a dark empty room and served cold pasta which we waited 30 mins for, when we asked for it to be warmed up the guy huffed at us. There was ZERO service and i had to walk around the hotel asking for a glass of water!!! The carpet was filthy and had holes in everywhere. We returned to reception to ask again about the rubbish bed we had and the RUDE receptionist spoke over the top of me rolling her eyes at me and telling us to pay more money again to get the BASICS THAT WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR (According to their website) to the point where i just had to walk away before i got really angry. This hotel has RUINED my holiday in Kyiv and i NEVER want to come back here again. The toilets are gross. Walls are all broken and floor broken. The lifts shake and bang and feel extremely unsafe. The decore is about 40 years old. They state "tea and coffee making facilities" in the room we paid for but there is no kettle..we have to walk down the corridor and take hot water from a water dispensing machine which is not boiling water. There is also no milk for the tea or coffee. No soap, shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. No-one in this hotel wants to help you or even make you feel slightly comfortable..the opposite, it made us feel like we were robbed and want to go home. They have given a VERY BAD impression of Kyiv/Ukraine people and i will be letting everyone know how bad this place is!!! I was hoping to be able to add photos just to prove how bad this place is. At 40 years of age i have NEVER stayed ANYWHERE as bad as this hotel and i have never been treated so...
Read moreI would give the "0" if I could. They are awful! I stayed there second time. First time wasn't so bad but second time it was a nightmare. Firstly, staff is always very unfriendly and miserable. Our checked in was incredible bad. In this hotel You need to wait, exactly time which says on a website. If you arrive earlier they will never do anything to check you in earlier, like in other hotels. Second, we arrived, checked in, got to our room and received a call from the receptionist that we need to come down(8floor) and change the room as it was wrong one.We went down, picked up the new key and after we got to the room, they called again and said that I need to go down because they messed up again and that room is regular for some of their customer. When I went down THIRD time the person on the reception did not even bother to apologize. She probably even does not know, if she doesn't know how to do her job properly and she makes mistakes all the time, she is the one who should go up and bring me the key. Then we found out that there is no soap in the bathroom. I called to the receptionist and informed her about it and she answered me that there is a little "thing" on a wall which needs to be pressed and there should be soap.Really!?! Believe me, I know how to use soap in a bathroom. They send a housekeeper to check if I was telling the truth. She came and checked it because probably could not belive that I know how to use that "thing" with a soap foam in the bathroom. The light bulb was smashed on top of my bed and pieces of glass could fall down to my head. I wraped it in a plastic bag just to cover it. Next day, at 7am they called me and asked to bring the receipt!!!!!! because they need to do some reports. I don't give a s...t about your reports!!!! I am the customer who pays money for stay and for some basic customer service. They are awful! I will never pay them money again! They have no idea what they are doing there and how to treat their customer. And they still didn't change their main sign where they don't know how to spell the name...
Read moreClean rooms. Staff is very polite and helpful, except for one girl working on 2nd July early morning. Close to metro station, supermarket, banks, and especially Holosiivskyi National Natural Park. In the evening you can enjoy the fresh air and walk in the parks. ||We checked in 3 hours before without any additional cost and thank the staff for this opportunity. Rooms are air-conditioned. Beds are comfortable. There are coffee and tea opportunities at the rooms.|||| - Old, soviet fashion, but it is interesting too, especially for that person, who has nostalgy about Soviet time. The lift works very-very slow. The TV is small. There is no electrical charging opportunity close to beds. ||On the main hall of the hotel, the name of the capital of Ukraine is written wrong (Kiyv). They...
