Nemo — Hotel in Odesa Urban Hromada

Fairly large hotel complex situated by the Black Sea. They have several swimming pools suitable for all ages, several bars inside and out including rooftop restaurants, kids playground and a tiny kids club inside - more like a large broom cupboard, really. They have a dolphin show throughout the day and in another pool there are two dolphins which you can pay to swim with. This is reasonably cheap - about 2200 UAH per person. However I was a bit unhappy about the pool that the two dolphins stay in. It is far too small for them. I estimated that the pool was no more than 7 or 8 times the length of the dolphins. I watched people swimming along with the dolphins and after about three or four seconds the dolphins had to turn as they had already reached the end of the pool. They stay in this pool all day and night so not very humane. See picture below - they live in the rectangular pool.

Room service in the hotel is very poor. Very slow service and often poorly prepared. My wife's family and our family stayed in two apartments and one of the food orders was virtually cold - the food had obviously been prepared and left but not taken to the room. Courses are sometimes delivered in two batches but this seems to be the norm with Ukrainian restaurants in my experience.

If you don't like modern dance music much you won't like this hotel. There is music playing loudly by the pool area all day from about 1100 until about 2300 and you can hear it in the rooms though you learn to screen it out after a while.

Breakfast is quite good with lots of choice even including champagne. Food quality not very high though - you could slice the scrambled eggs but there are plenty of staff clearing the tables, taking special orders, etc. If you are a fan of English breakfasts however there are no baked beans, hash browns or pork sausages (just the frankfurter type). I know you should not expect this when in another country but this might be a problem for some people.

The apartments are large suites with kitchenettes and varying numbers of bedrooms from one to three. Lots of niggling faults like the safe not working, curtains not closing, maid service requested but no attendance, etc.

Overall I would not stay in this hotel again as it is expensive and there are too...

I reserved a the presidental suite all the time and every year more expensive than before,,,||Where is the special guest price also where is the understanding!!||I been booked for Christmas from 26/12 till 02/1||Like every Christmas i come to the nemo ||I paid for it and canceled after 1 months because i get sos and i was afraid that my plans will change ||And i told the reservation about it ||After week , I contacted the reserve again and I wanted to re book again the same presidental suite, but was the price different 40k uah ||And i get mad , i can understand 10k uah but not 40k uah||From 67k uah to 93k uah||And they told me they give me the best price and the special price for me !!||But come on!! From 67k to 93k , where is the fair i.
