Utter Disappointment: Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah - A Stay to Forget
My recent stay at the Radisson Resort in Ras Al Khaimah was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience of my life. I am compelled to share this detailed account to warn others and to express my profound dissatisfaction. Ignored Requests & Non-Existent Communication: Before my arrival, I made two separate calls to the reservation/reception to confirm specific requests for my two suites. Despite the call center agent acknowledging my requests, including the critical need for the suites to be adjacent for my children, these were completely ignored. There was no callback, no confirmation – simply silence. Disregard for Premium Membership & Benefits: As a premium Radisson member, I expected a level of recognition and service. Instead, my status was treated with absolute disdain. No benefits were offered, and my requests were met with indifference. Agonizing Check-in Queue: The check-in process was a nightmare. I endured a wait of over 50 minutes in a chaotic queue. This set the tone for the entire stay. Arrogant & Inefficient Front Desk Staff: The front desk agent was exceptionally slow, spending an inexplicable amount of time with each guest. When I reiterated my request for adjacent suites (paid for in full via Agoda), he displayed a shockingly poor attitude. He acted as if fulfilling my pre-arranged request was a personal favor, despite my prior calls and the call center confirmation. His behavior was unprofessional and insulting. Useless Premium Membership (Unless Booked via Radisson App): The front desk staff explicitly stated that my premium membership was essentially worthless unless I had booked directly through the Radisson app. This is absurd and contradicts the entire purpose of a loyalty program. I have never encountered such a ridiculous policy with any other hotel rewards program. Overcrowded and Filthy Hotel: The hotel was excessively crowded, and the cleanliness was appalling. The public areas were dirty and poorly maintained. Dreadful Suites: Old, Small, & Poorly Designed: The suites themselves were a disaster. They were cramped, poorly designed, and clearly outdated. The furniture and decor were old and worn. Bedbug Infestation: The most horrifying aspect of our stay was the bedbug infestation. My legs were covered in bites, and it was clear the bedding was infested. The discomfort and disgust were unbearable. Uncovered Room Service Food: The room service food, while tasty, arrived without any covers. It was delivered in open containers, like something from a basic motel, not a supposed resort. This was utterly unacceptable. Shockingly Dirty Quilt: The most disgusting and unhygienic experience was discovering that the quilt in one of our suites had not been changed from the previous guest. It was stained, dirty, and crawling with bugs. When I complained, the housekeeping staff confirmed they “missed” changing it, meaning we were given a used quilt. This is beyond appalling. Denied Late Checkout: Despite my premium status, my request for a late checkout was initially denied, citing the hotel being fully booked. They offered a mere 30 minutes, and then moments later, another staff member called to insist on a 12 PM checkout. This inconsistency and lack of flexibility were infuriating. Old and Inadequate Toilets: The toilets were old, dirty and lacked basic amenities like a shower hose or bathtub. Lack of Essential Amenities: The suites were missing essential amenities: no laundry bag, no cups, no bottle opener, and no spare pillows. We were provided with only two small water bottles per suite.
Conclusion: This was my first and absolutely last stay at the Radisson Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. The service was abysmal, the facilities were dirty and outdated, and the overall experience was a nightmare. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. This was a complete waste of money and a thoroughly...

I generally refrain from writing negative reviews, but my recent experience at Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah was so underwhelming and frustrating that I feel compelled to share it in detail.
Birthday Room Décor Surprise Ruined: I had booked a special room décor package for my wife’s birthday, which cost AED 250. The package clearly mentioned decorations with balloons and flowers, a birthday cake, and a non-alcoholic champagne. To our utter disappointment: • There were absolutely no flowers in the decoration – only a few basic balloons thrown around without any attention to aesthetics. • The cake and champagne were missing entirely. I had to call room service multiple times (5–7 times!) over a span of more than an hour, with no proper response. • Eventually, I had to go down to the reception in person—which in itself defeated the purpose of a surprise—and was casually told that the items would be sent in “a few hours.” That completely ruined the birthday surprise and left us deeply frustrated and embarrassed.
Subpar All-Inclusive Package: We had booked the all-inclusive package expecting a quality experience, but it fell short on all fronts: • The snacks served at the bar were very disappointing – cold, stale, and clearly not freshly made. • The food quality in the buffet—be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner—was well below expectations. Limited variety, poorly seasoned dishes, and a lack of attention to hygiene were consistent across all meals.
Poor Room Service & Delays: The room service was extremely slow. Even for basic requests, we had to call multiple times and wait for long durations. The staff seemed either overburdened or simply indifferent. This lack of responsiveness added to the overall inconvenience.
Lack of Safety and Support at the Pool: During our pool visit, I lost my sunglasses in the pool and asked for help from the lifeguard and pool staff. Unfortunately, they made no real effort to help find them. No proper follow-up, no tools or attempts to assist in locating the item underwater. This reflects a lack of preparedness for handling such basic guest concerns.
Missing Basic In-Room Essentials: We were shocked to find that the room was missing several basic amenities that are expected from even a mid-range hotel, let alone a reputed resort: • No toothpaste • No hairdryer • No room slippers • No laundry bag • No tea cups, despite having a kettle
We had to request several of these individually, and some never arrived at all.
⸻
Final Thoughts: This was supposed to be a special getaway to celebrate a personal occasion, but unfortunately, Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah delivered a completely lackluster and disorganized experience. Poor service, unmet expectations, and unprofessional handling of situations made it a regrettable choice.
Definitely not worth the price, and certainly not the kind of service one expects from a globally known brand like Radisson. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and brings some much-needed improvement to both their offerings and...
Read moreDear Radisson Guest Relations Team,
I am writing as a premium member of Radisson Hotels to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah, which turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had.
I stayed in Room 101, a One-Bedroom Suite, under Reservation Number: 2YPFOH07.
Check-in: 02 July 2025
Check-out: 05 July 2025
Despite booking a suite, the level of cleanliness, maintenance, and service was far below Radisson’s expected standards. The following issues were encountered during my stay:
Unhygienic Conditions in Washroom
The washroom near the room entrance had visible poop stains on the wall, which was extremely shocking and unacceptable.
Please find the attached photo as evidence.
There was bacterial colony in the sink of the bathroom attached to the bedroom.
Water Dripping from Bathroom Duct
The bathroom attached to the bedroom area had water dripping from the ceiling duct, causing constant discomfort and clearly indicating poor maintenance.
No Proper Hot Water in Shower
The shower had an inconsistent hot water supply, making it difficult to use—particularly disappointing in a premium room.
Unreasonably Delayed Room Service
Room service was extremely slow, and even basic requests took far too long to be fulfilled.
Hair Dryer Not Available in Room
There was no hair dryer in the room. I had to call reception twice before one was delivered, which was an unnecessary inconvenience.
Poor Reception Experience
The receptionist was unresponsive and unhelpful over the phone, requiring me to repeat myself multiple times.
Even more disappointing was the unprofessional check-in experience—despite standing at the reception desk, two other guests interrupted to reactivate their room key cards, and the receptionist chose to assist them first, completely ignoring me. This lack of courtesy was unacceptable.
This stay has left me deeply dissatisfied. I have stayed at various Radisson properties over the years and had trusted the brand for quality and service. However, after this experience, I have lost confidence in Radisson Hotels.
I will not be choosing Radisson Hotels for any of my upcoming travels, as I no longer believe the brand meets the standards it claims to uphold.
I request a formal investigation into the condition of Room 101 and the clear service failures I experienced. A prompt response and appropriate compensation would be expected under the circumstances.
Sincerely,
Mahomed Farhan
