Wood View Farm Glamping ( Book direct for best prices ) — Hotel in Ashford

We had a wonderful time here and cannot wait to return! We were a group of 12 guys, and Tony arranged for us to have a small field exclusively for our group. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed - including pots/pans/plates, two gas BBQs, logs for the fire, plenty of seating under a gazebo - he even put milk and butter in the fridge and left a chocolate cake for us.

The glamping experience was extremely comfortable - we were lucky with the weather, but the facilities were fantastic - the yurt-like tents were tall enough to stand up in (and decorated with solar fairy lights) and very clean when we arrived. We had access to an outdoor festival loo (which was actually fine, and not like any similar loo you’ve used at a festival) and a hut with another toilet and small shower, a sofa and double bed (which we didn’t end up using, but could have done if anyone had had issues sleeping in the tent), lots of power outlets for charging phones, fridge, kettle, microwave... even an outdoor shower! Both showers are connected to a gas boiler and there was plenty of pressure.

The location was great - we took some nice walks out including one to the pub round the corner. We went to Action Watersports, about half an hour’s drive away - AMAZING - and to an activity centre round the corner, Shoot the Boss, which was great value and brilliant fun.

The best part of the trip though was Tony who went out of his way to make sure we had a brilliant time. We were not exactly seasoned campers/glampers but he made the whole experience enjoyable for all. His communication before and after our trip was extraordinary.

It was a real pleasure to visit Wood View Farm Glamping and we are already talking about making the same...

We stayed here over the weekend with a group of family and friends spread out between two glamping teepees and the shepherd's hut.

We opted for the full package so that we could pack lighter which included bedding, towels and cook/tableware. In terms of value for money, we all agreed that it was a great price and well-worth it.

We had a fab time going for walks and playing games in the fields. As far as facilities go, they're pretty bog-standard for a campsite but we were all very happy. Definitely somewhere to come if you want good quality time and the proper camping experience. There is an outdoor shower which is a nice touch but it could be slightly better lit at night. If I was giving advice to anyone booking here, I'd say that it might be worth bringing some of your own cooking equipment including sharp knives -which I like to do anyway because it's always easier catering for a group when you're comfortable with what you're handling- the offerings from this perspective are pretty basic but Tony was wonderfully kind and accommodating and chucked in loads of little extras. He was also really lovely in welcoming our family who all arrived at different times and with a possiblity of a train strike affecting our next days travel, he was very kind and helpful.

We had a 5 star stay and made lovely memories. I wouldn't call it GLAM per se-, but if you aren't after luxury and you just want some good ol' downtime, out in nature and beautiful surroundings, some fresh air and cosy evenings plus the added bonus of dealing with a very nice host- this might be what you're looking for. 👍

P.s. The wheel barrels and cart...

Lovely break away. We had the field to ourselves for 4 families. I’ve rated this 5 stars in relation to a camping experience - don’t expect a luxury weekend but lots of outdoor time and good facilities. The kids had hours of fun racing the wheel barrows up and down. Make sure you book direct with the glamp site as we paid more than we should through a hotel aggregator. His direct prices are much better. It was lovely to hire it out as a group booking. Not sure how sharing the kitchen / bbqs would work if you were booking individual tents, but a perfect way for us to celebrate x4...
