Newmans Lodge — Hotel in Babergh

I found this lovely B&B originally via Google, searching for nearby places to a Wedding venue (Alpheton Hall Barns). Before booking online, I called them to check on a few questions & I found Claire to be an absolute delight on the phone, very helpful (as I am from London and never been to Suffolk before!) and we sorted everything over the phone. Paul and Claire were both lovely, he was even kind enough to drop us down to the Wedding venue :) They have a beautiful home, very clean rooms with an excellent breakfast. The views were great from my room (Venice Room) and their adorable dog was an absolute angel. Highly recommended...

We needed accommodation for one night in order to attend an early funeral the next day. The facilities here are excellent. The quality of the breakfast is first rate. May I suggest to the owners they doing themselves a dis-service by not listing the full menu that they are able to offer(eg; yogurt,fruit and vegetarian breakfasts). Unfortunately you need to pre-order the night before, which is a bit of a bind , but I can live with it. Shame to waste good cooked food by then, so I ate as much of it as I could... and very nice it was too. Beds were so comfortable and everywhere...

Beautiful clean sunny room with wonderful views over open countryside. We were guests at a wedding at alpheton hall barns and stayed the night before the wedding and used our gorgeous spacious room to get ready and returned there following the wedding to an amazing nights sleep. Amazing spacious shower . . Even my bath loving daughter loved it! Fantastic breakfast and claire and family made us feel welcome and perfectly at ease. strongly recommend this beautiful B&b . .
