Was very disappointed with our stay.|We stayed in bollinger for our one year anniversary and upon entry we had a lovely banner put up and was pleased until the day went on and we saw the cracksā¦|Our bedding had thick white hair in it and stains on it and furniture.|The hot chocolate is apparently re filled and they still use the 2 year old tin so not sure if cross contamination is done or if new powder is actually in date as no way to tell?|The teapot was cracked and a hazard to use.|The kettle was caked in limescale and leaks.|The hot tub lights do not work.|The fire pit is in a completely different location as shown on website and is dirty and over used.|The honestly shop idea makes u feel like a thief and is not relaxing at all.|The shower you get max 40 seconds before it overflows.|I did bring all this up on my leaving date and got what I felt to be an excuse text and not even a phone call? And I was told the bedding was new and the hair was shedding from it? The bedding was pink and grey and you can see by the guest book left a woman and 2 dogs stayed in March a few weeks before so Iām inclined to believe this is what it was, the hot chocolate is replaced everytime and I was told I should have texted or rang the number to get the hot tub lights sorted? After I was told they have been broken for months and they canāt get a person to fix them?? |You are made to feel threatened with fines of cleaning and I personally feel they want you to clean it so they donāt have too, I also felt the texting or ringing for issues should not have to happen as a member of staff should be on site for issues to be addressed in person as we donāt get any privacy anyway with all the cameras.|When you address issues you are made to feel like you are just complaining atleast that how the text I received made me feel anyway.|Apart from all this the bed was comfortable and the kitchen area ok but pans are old and so are utensils so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently hired Glamp & Tipple exclusively for my sisterās hen party, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. With 17 of us in the group, the communication with Helen (the owner) from the time of booking (11 months in advance) was brilliant. She was very responsive and nothing was ever too much trouble.
As it was a special occasion, the team went above and beyond to make it memorable: including a hen party balloon arch that was waiting for us, pizza ovens were made available, and our hot tubs were even heated to different temperatures to accommodate the heatwave. We were also free to decorate the site as we liked, and bring in our own external caterers which made it feel extra personal.
The Glamp & Tipple app is great - super helpful both before and during the stay. Itās clear the owners have thought of absolutely everything: an honesty shop, giant wheelbarrows for moving your stuff, every sport and game you could imagine, plus DVDs, a proper coffee machine, an ice machine, and local produce (and lots more!).
The bathrooms were spacious and clean (especially for glamping!), and the yurts were really well-equipped, with thoughtful details like robes, clothes airers, and every kitchen item you could need.
Loren and the rest of the on-site team were lovely and really helpful during check-in and check-out. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable.
Itās a great location for a group getaway and very reasonably priced.
Just a heads-up: a few of the yurts are closer to the main road than others, but this is clearly shown on the site map, so you can choose accordingly. And you can only cook at each individual yurt, rather than the main communal area (if hiring exclusively), plus all fridge space is in each yurt (no general communal space), but there is a communal freezer.
Huge thanks to Helen and the teamāwe had a fantastic time and hope to return again some day soon!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had the most amazing 2 nights stay in the Bollinger, Agita was a great host and went through everything we needed to know was very courteous , made you feel welcomed
The bell tents are fabulous everything you need is there, beds, warm bedding, fridge, kettle, heater, wood stove , I feel the cold , though at night I was snug as a bug
The outdoor kitchen was extremely well stocked with all the utensils you would ever need, the wood fire hot tub is just luxury , you get your own private bathroom only seconds away from the tent, shower , toilet, sink, & a radiator so was lovely and warm after a shower
Each tent is a good distance away from each other as well so you are not on top of one another and you have your own wooden picnic table to enjoy the great outdoors , me and my daughter played games ( loads in the tent ) whilst dad was cooking
You can tell so much love has gone in to this glamping site, they even provide a little folder where you can go to eat , places to visit etc You have a little snug room with washer and dryer and sofa & a honesty shop where if you need any bits you can grab them and pay on check out
We hired the projector and had a Harry Potter movie marathon all snuggled at night ( all provided by the site little extras you can add on )
We also ordered some amazing DIY hampers from A little bit of Luxury who the site recommend and trust me you will not be disappointed , Lou puts so much love & attention in the hampers
We cannot wait to return here it is simply perfect and...
