The Bosham Boathouse — Hotel in Chichester

This superb B&B had been recommended and it certainly excelled our expectations. Jane is a wonderful host who was there to greet us upon arrival. Our ground floor room had it's own private entrance to the room. The room was very clean; had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed with a nice linen. Good shower with toiletries provided. We opted for the Continental breakfast which was brought to our room and on the second morning we were able to enjoy our breakfast sitting outside on our own small patio. There were plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room and having fresh milk every day, and fresh flowers in the room, gave this B&B those extra special finishing touches. Bus stop outside the accommodation which frequently runs to Chichester and Portsmouth. Could have done with staying longer but Jane was fully booked and she did put herself out to accommodate our 2-night stay. Highly...

In our experience, this is almost as good as it gets for B&B. The three things you would most like from a B&B are a comfortable bed, a good shower and a great breakfast and this gets 5 stars for all. Jane is a wonderful host. There are 2 choices for breakfast, the full English in the breakfast room at additional cost, or the continental breakfast included, delivered to your room. Both are excellent. Parking is easy and close to your room.

The surrounding area is very flat and ideal for cycling. You can cycle into Chichester on a safe and sometimes traffic-free route that avoids the main road. Or get the bus from right outside the property. You can also cycle to Bosham Harbour along a very quiet country lane that begins opposite the B&B. Lots of nice walking nearby. For fine dining I would recommend Cassons in Tangmere, which is Michelin-rated and a 10 minute drive...

Me and my boyfriend only had a short stay at the Bosham Boathouse, however it was one that was very enjoyable! Check in was at 3, however we needed an earlier check in, which Jane was very accommodating about and gave us a check in at 2! We stated in the Patio/garden room and it was absolutely perfect. Being both cozy and clean, the room was presented amazingly. And a very comfortable king bed, accommodated my tall other half perfectly. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed, with the option of room service breakfast or a sit down style. Options on the brekky menu were amazing and really nice! |Provided was a variety of information about the room, surrounding area and things to do! |Jane is a lovely host who is both welcoming and kind!
