Found this beautiful place online and couldn’t wait to call to check availability, I rang last night and was completely gutted, the owner answered the phone and immediately was rude stating “I have elderly parents and was so worried why the phone was ringing I thought something bad had happened” 😳 so very abrupt and rude I was polite and apologised for worrying her and said “as you are on the phone can I check your availability please” she said “we are booked until October” and then very rudely hung up on me 😣 such a shame as my call was genuine. If you advertise the property maybe show a little bit of courtesy and politeness. Your cottage looks Beautiful but I would never recommend you based on...

Candlelight Cottage is a super holiday retreat in the Peak District. Immaculately presented and spotlessly clean, we received a warm welcome from the owners, and a lovely welcome basket too. The location is great allowing easy access to explore the area, with lots of lovely pubs nearby to save us cooking. Great value and thoroughly deserved 5 star...

Back here for another wonderful stay: the owners are so caring and attentive: the best we've come across! Again lots of advice about walks and now about safety as we are old and when we had a tiny problem they were there in minutes to sort it out. Cannot praise them...
