Tissington Ford Barn — Hotel in Derbyshire Dales

We have just spent a magical family Christmas at Tissington Ford Barn. Being able to be together in this very spacious cottage made it a very special time for us. The very spacious living area was a great space for us all to gather to enjoy the festivities.

There were special treats waiting for us when we arrived and the cottage was tastefully decorated with a beautiful tree next to a log fire which made for a very homely feeling. There was also a beautiful hamper filled with local produce and doggy treats too.

The kitchen provided everything we needed and the bedrooms were very comfortable. In the words of our 5 year old grandson it was his best Christmas ever.

From our first contact with the property manager Sophie through to meeting David the owner it was obvious that the team were very customer focused and they provided a first class service.

We were allowed to visit the property before finalising the booking in order to satisfy us that it was the ideal place to share a special family time.

Sophie was always contactable to answer our questions when we were planning the stay and was always very prompt in responding to us.

Upon our arrival everything that we had been promised was provided and the check in and out process was very easy due to the detailed instructions provided.

A visit from David on our check in day to ensure we had settled in was greatly appreciated.

We spent a lovely family weekend at the Tissington Ford barn and the owners, David, Sandy and Sophie were so responsive and provided excellent service. We have no bad comments as all the personal touches were fab. The only thing I would add is maybe some additional hooks in the wet rooms for hanging towels and maybe somewhere for your shower gel and soap by the shower. We hired this property for a family weekend and couldn’t have picked a nicer place to stay. Tissington Barn provided a lovely living area so we could all be together whilst having luxury bedrooms and plenty of amenities for personal space. The property catered for all of our requirements and was a wonderful place to stay. The owners were superb regarding advice for places to eat out and were always prompt to reply to any queries.
