Nice surroundings arrived without a booking, and was show to a table in the restaurant, great view of the river. we both chose roast beef, the plate arrived with Yorkshire pudding 2 roast potatoes and sliced beef, in rather alot of gravy, vegetables came separate, we were given baby carrots peppery mashed swede, and leeks with a watery transparent sauce, I thought we would get a portion each, but no this was to share, I have to say I was a little disappointed, espcially as it was £14.95. But on the other hand there was room for pudding I thought, well my partner chose roulade and ice cream, I'm really glad the door's and windows were closed, as it could easily blown off the plate, I had a coffee and walnut cake with ice cream, which was ok, when presented with the bill.... Well wish I'd have checked the price of dessert they were over £6.00 each. I was horrified. If the main had been substantial and had dessert it would have been worth it but £50.00 for this meal was Expensive, have to say it was a little disappointing.

In my line of work I stay away in hotels and inn's on a regular basis and over the years have stayed in many covering the length and breadth of the country. I have to say that The Lazy Otter is right up there with the best.||I can usually tell what a place is going to be like when I first walk in but this time I could tell from outside that it would be really good and I wasn't wrong. I walked into the bar area to check in and was met by a very nice, older gentleman who went through the checking in procedure very quickly. I spotted that there was a choice of real ales available which is always a big tick in the box for me. I was shown to my room, which is always a nice gesture. The room was tastefully decorated, had a lovely bed and proper wooden furniture. The bathroom and shower were also good. I went back down to the bar and ordered an ale and it was spot on. The evening meal menu was varied and very competitively priced. My meal arrived and it was beautiful, really well cooked and presented. I had to try a few more pints, just to make sure that they were as good as the first, and they were.||When you work away and stay in hotels on your own, some can be quite lonely but not this place. The staff are so friendly and engaging that I was able to stay sat on a bar still for the rest of the evening. The following morning I went down to breakfast and had a table in the restaurant overlooking the marina and with the sun just starting to break through it was very picturesque and peaceful. The breakfast is cooked to order and you can help yourself to juice and cereals while you wait.||I need to find a reason to have another meeting in the area so that I can visit again. For me it just...

Firstly I would recommend Hastings to anyone and everyone it is a beautiful location with much to do for the whole family unfortunately my experience at Dream Lodge Group was not particularly brilliant. The location is fine, it is fairly easy to get about places with a Sainsbury's about a 5 minute drive away. The lodge was clean and well maintained however the frying pan and other dishes provided were quite dirty as was the BBQ grill. When we got there the hot tub was not ready until much later in the evening. However come the next day as we were preparing to use it again the water was freezing I think this was due to the electricity having gone out the evening before for a few minutes and the hot tub had not started up again. On the second day the electricity went out again and we had to spend over an hour in the dark and it was becoming quite cold, fortunately we were relocated to another lodge which offered a lot more privacy - I'm not sure why we weren't given this in the first place as the lodge we first went to was very "central" and not very private particularly if you wanted to use the hot tub. The electricity went out again on the third day however for a much shorter period of time. I don't think Dream Lodge Group are equipped for so much electricity to be used in one go which kept causing the power outage. Like I said I would definitely visit Hasting again but don't think I'll be staying at The Dream Lodge...

We stayed in lodge 46, it was very clean, and spacious. The lounge had a good large TV, although I think the setttees need replacing. The kitchen is also well appointed, including a dish washer (do remember to bring your dish washer tablets). Also the heating is very efficient.||Security to get into the complex is second to none, requiring car access via two gates.||NOTE: There is NO wifi, the advertising needs to be changed (I alway bring our own router when we go away, so this was not an issue for us.||He did have a problem with the hot tub being way to hot (43 degrees), however a neighbour popped over and helped us turn down the temperature down,||BEWARE this is a split level lodge, there are 4 steps between the loung/dinning and the kitchen, so disabled or people infirm on their feet should look else where.||Final, it says you overlook the river and the marine, there is a large bank between the lodge and river, yes you can see the top of the boats, but you aren’t really over looking it.||All in all, I would be happy and recommend others visit, so long as they are aware of the points...
