Lakeside Naturist Holiday Resort — Hotel in East Lindsey

Lovely weekend stay with pro's and con's First the pros. Lovely location, facilities spotless, as you would expect at this time. Friendly hosts, with a warm welcome, and nice other guests, easy to chat and converse with. We stayed in our tent, so cant comment on the accomodation. Toilets and showers clean as was the pool and hot tubs.

Now the not so good. If you are fully able bodied this site is absolutely ideal. If you have physical disabilities, you may struggle. To start with, the pathways are gravel, quite deep in places, and no use for a wheeled walking frame at all, a manual wheelchair user would struggle too. There is no handrail to allow access down the roman steps into the pool. Very steep steps, so a person with mobility issues would find it almost impossible to get in. No handrails to assist in entering/leaving hot tubs No handrail to hold onto in shower, no disabled friendly/ accessible toilet or shower. Secondary toilet block is in a portakabin up 3 large steps, with a loose handrail. One evening the main toilet block was closed for deep clean( no argument there) which left 1 toilet for the entire site in the portakabin block so a wheelchair user would be unable to get to the toilet at all. We found other guests to be most helpful and the owners were far from uncaring and this represents no criticism of them personally. Simply one paved route to the shower/toilet block and the clubhouse would have saved a lot...

Very rough roads on approach. If caravanning take owners advice on route to arrive. Site is untidy and a bit scruffy looking, but facilities are good and include sauna and steam rooms. Located at the top of the site for practical reasons so a fair walk if you are down by the beautiful lake. Indoor heated pool and hot tub fabulous if the residents aren't hogging them!! Lots of lovely wildlife. Plenty of space for campers with plenty of hook ups and water points. Residents units spoil the look of the area as many are dirty and old. Slightly old and tired mobile homes to rent but clean and functional. Social hall that at this time is breaking Covid rules. There were several very rowdy parties with the hall packed with people. Woken several times by partyers shouting and laughing well into the small hours, 03.20am once!! Couple this to afternoons listening to motor cycles constantly started/stopped and revved coupled with grass cutting equipment being left running when not in use left us wishing we were elsewhere and for that reason we will not return, however if you are there to party and make a...

Just had a really lovely couple of days at Lakeside. We haven't been for a while, things always seemed to get in the way, but it was absolutely great to return. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind. From the easy online booking to the warm welcome on arrival. As it's late in the year the covered pool area provided a great place to relax and the pool was at a nice temperature for a few dips, and the hot tub was even better. |All the facilities are spotlessly clean and liquid soap and hand gel is present at all wash areas to keep everywhere hygienic and germ free.|We both look forward to the new season with the hope of more...
