I stayed here, with my dog, for one night at the end of June 2019. I immediately felt very welcome and perfectly 'at home'. Anne was the perfect host and even my energetic dog was made to feel welcome and free to roam around in our part of the house. We enjoyed a lovely walk, with a little river and gorgeous views just across from the B&B. The cottage and gardens are lovely and my room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Anne very happily catered to my dietary requirements and asked what time I would like dinner and breakfast. The food was freshly prepared and excellent. Although my room looked onto the busy village road, I was not disturbed by any traffic sounds and slept well. Anne very kindly gave me great advice and directions when I encountered a road closure on the way to the B&B. She also helped me to avoid all the tiny lanes (which I am terrified of driving along!) when I went to my next destination. I will definitely be returning when I have time to stay for longer and can enjoy walking extensively...
Read moreWe had a very nice late summer stay - the owners were very friendly and we were offered a delicious cream team on arrival! There were comfortable rooms, tea/coffee and kettle, and we had a really great breakfast. Quiet location, easy parking, plenty to do in the area. Very clean and good social distancing measures such as ensuring each guest/room had their own time slot for breakfast (or if this didn't work, you could have breakfast to be left outside your room). ||The owners also gave us a list of suggested places for dinner as well.||There was a good wifi signal but just be aware there is no/weak mobile signal due to the rural area it is in. ...
Read moreA very friendly welcome with tea and scones, plenty of helpful advice about the local area, a comfortable bed in a pleasant, airy room and a good breakfast- this all made for a perfect stopover on our way home. The location is quiet and peaceful, with a lovely garden and friendly chickens clucking around. Convenient for the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean and very quickly accessed from the M4.
