My wife & I have just returned home from a fantastic week long stay at Achindarroch site. From the spacious level park, to the modern and spotlessly clean facilities it really is a world apart from many other sites we have visited with our caravan. The site owners live on the park and have a very keen eye for detail with regards to making sure everyone has an enjoyable and peaceful stay. Thankfully groups are not permitted onsite so no late night noisy drinking sessions. Pitches are spacious, even with a twin axle caravan, full size awning and car parked theres plenty of room between yourself and ‘next door’. Even though we had our own onboard facilities we chose to use the site facilities, mainly due to the fact they were kept spotlessly clean and have large showers with plenty of hot water. Everyone upon first arrival at the site gets a personal (short) walk-round tour of the facilities/amenities and given encouragement to be covid aware (lots of hand sanitiser points available) and to also consider leaving each facility clean and tidy for the next guest. Anne & Dicky run a great site and clearly put their heart and soul into making it an enjoyable stay for all. In closing, the only negative we can think of is that we couldn’t stay longer but have already booked up to return in the very near future!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!! Best regards Richard,...

Wee solo trip up in the van for a long weekend. Forward party to be honest to check it out for the summer and was not dissapointed . I was also the only one on the park which made it even more special.|A smashing wee hidden gem. ||Was lucky enough to have a snowy , bright and sunny weekend with ground temperature getting as low as -8. Absolutely amazing.||Site facilities were emaculate with everything close to hand. Even in the extreme cold weather I had a lovely heated toilet with hot showers.||Panoramic views surround your pitch with plenty of cycle and walking paths at your doorstep. Can even cycle safely to Oban. Nice hotel also off the cycle path for food and drink.|Anne and Dick run a tight shift who's efforts reflect on the site they also could not do enough for me having finger trouble with my van. Also received a jump start as well seeing my tug could not cope with extreme weather. To be honest felt a bit of a pest at one point being the only one on site 😄. ||It was no problem to Dick and I thank him once again.|So yes I strongly recommend this site if in the Locharber Region , a great base for getting about. Being a regular visitor to the area some of the other sites can get jam packed were as Achindarroch has a more cosy feeling....||We will...

It saddens me to see such rubbish logged by the students. This is one of the most friendly camping sites we have visited in our many years of camping through many countries in Europe. Anne & Dick are so welcoming and helpful. They make sure you you are familiar with the facilities on the site, are available to answer questions and always ready to let you know of local attractions. This is a great campsite in a very picturesque area of Scotland. It has many attractions within easy travelling distance and a good variety of eating places on the doorstep. It is child friendly and we are looking forward to our next visit in July with our 2 grandchildren. They can't wait to go back and still remember Anne coming to get them to look out for the horse and carriage coming through the campsite soon after we arrived last time. Is that being unfriendly - I think not. As for the price, it is reasonably competitive and why not, it is business after all and the overhead costs have to be met. All facilities are there for equal use whether you are in a camper van, caravan, pod or tent. Don't be put off by a couple of negative blogs, there are many more positive reviews on other internet sites -...

Ideally situated as either a stop off if heading north or as an actual holiday site. Facilities are spotless. Sanitiser spray in both the bathrooms and campers kitchen. 2 shower cubicles in the women's bathroom and 3 toilets. 1 toilet and 1 sink are not in use because of covid. 1 sink not in use in the kitchen. Campers kitchen had dishwashing Facilities, a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and freezer for storage of perishables. Outside has a drying line for clothes. Make sure to check out their live monitor covering the barn owl chicks, so cute!! Across from the site is a small children's playground. They also let you use the field beside the site for games etc. There are plenty of cycling routes in this area and well worth taking your bike. Anne and Dicky who run the site are lovely. Very approachable and helpful. They recommend walks etc in the location and one of the 'must do's' is Ardsheil Hill. What.A.View!! 100% would recommend this peaceful and well placed site. Takes campervans, caravans and tents. Pitch sizes are larger than most.

Wow. What a hidden gem of a campsite. We came as a family of 5 with a bell tent and a dog. The couple who own the campsite are so welcoming and friendly, and always happy to help. The facilies are super good, with the showers being a super short walk from anywhere, in a Central position, same for the shared kitchen, which is excellent with 3 sinks a fridge, a freezer, a microwave and a kettle. Everything was super clean. The actual grass on which you pitch is so lush and short, perfect for a game of football (and camping on 🤣) The view of the huge mountain that towers above the campsite is so beautiful especially if there is a golden sunset. Fort William is a short drive away, with plenty of things to do, from Ben Nevis (if your advanced) accompanied by glen Nevis, the waterfall and the viaduct in Harry Potter. We were action packed for 4 days, but there is stuff to do for weeks.
