Had the nicest stay here. After booking a room at another hotel (which was absolutely VILE!!!!) we turned up on a Sunday night after 9pm looking for 2 rooms. One for me and my partner and 2 dogs and one for his mum. They accommodated this really well!! £80 for 2 double rooms and 2 dogs, breakfast included. You also get 20% off the Gondola if you keep your little card that your room keys come in and show it to the people at the Gondola! Staff are super friendly and helpful! ||The room was BEAUTIFULLY clean and tidy, the bathroom smelt clean and was clean. We did only have 1 pillow each but they’re comfortable pillows so we made do! We could’ve asked for more but we were so tired after such a long drive that we didn’t bother we just went to sleep! Towels smelt lovely and clean, we all had showers and they were lovely. The tv you do have to connect to your phone but it’s really simple and easy, you connect through a QR code on your camera and then pop in the PIN number and it’s connected! Very accommodating of the dogs also! There was so much room in there for them to stretch their legs and sleep etc. We had a great nights sleep! ||Great range of breakfast if you wanted to pay for something other than what you get in the deal with the room (which even then was an ideal breakfast. 2 sausages, bacon, egg, beans as a smaller breakfast or a full breakfast included haggis and extras). ||We used the gondola and it was around £55 for 3 people! Under 25s are classed as “young adults” so that was for 2 young adults and an adult with the 20% discount. It would’ve been around the £70-£80 mark without BUT so worth the money!! We took both dogs in there with us and when we got to the top it was lovely and snowy, people are sledding/skiing etc and just having a good time! ||They have a little shop at the bottom where you can buy tops, key rings, fridge magnets, hats, gloves etc! Everything in the shop is reasonably priced also! ||All in all a really good stay and we would 110% do it again even if we had just stayed for a couple of days at the...
Read moreGreat last minute trip to this hotel. Booked online, didn't know what to expect. travelled 2 adults, 6 year old and 9 year old. Family unit booked- immaculate hotel, great fun for kids and 4 bunk beds and double in each family unit, so great if you have 3 or 4 kids. Pub and restaurant in the evening onsite was lovely, breakfast was also great. What stuck out most at this place was the staff and cleanliness. The staff were so friendly, and went out of their way to chat, get to know you and make you feel so welcome. The rooms were simply immaculate (im very fussy!!) we stayed one night in the family unit then another in a double room with camp beds for the kids. Both were so clean and in great condition. In the cafe the staff were not only keeping the tables clean but washing the seats, legs and table legs. The whole place oozed great staff and everything follows. We also ate up at the top restaurant after having a fun trip on the gondola - it was very wet and windy up at the top, no view at all - we had the right gear. (Some people in shorts, t.shirts and flip flops??!!) Depite looking like we had been in a pressure washer, it was all made better once again by the happy and cheery staff. Only negative is a drying room would just make it perfect. There must be a lot of muddy dirty people staying there and drying everything in a small hotel room is pretty tricky, not to mention the dampness in these lovely rooms. But thats just a thought.||Thank you to all the staff for your lovely care and attention to everything!! We will be back as soon...
Read moreThis hotel is in a great location at the base of Ben Nevis in the same building as the cable cars. The hotel is budget, to say the least, but not cheap to stay in! We waited nearly half an hour to check in as there were no staff on reception, so it was not a great start. The room was clean but basic. Hardly anywhere to store clothes but plenty of tea and coffee with a good selection, including hot chocolate, but there was only one sachet of each. The bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels and Seaweed toiletries that smelt like toothpaste. You have to turn the shower on and off on the showerhead to get it to work. We almost had to take the TV off the wall bracket to turn it on as it was switched off at the wall too. During the night, we had a stone thrown at the window , and we have no idea who threw it. We didnt get much sleep as the pillows were lumpy and the mattress was springy and uncomfortable. There is a shop and a restaurant next door which is open from 6 pm but the food is very expensive so we had to eat elsewhere. There is a cafe where breakfast is served, but that closes at 3pm as does the cafe at the summit of Ben Nevis where the gondola station is so we didn't make the trip up as everything was shut and nearly £30 per person to go up was ridiculous if there's nothing to do up there. There are some nice woodland walks around the site. Overall, this place is a tourist trap and...
