You cannot buy this type of hospitality. Anne and Paul welcomed us into their lovely home and looked after us, especially the little surprises at the end of the day when we returned to our room (home made lemon cake is to die for). It's the small things that count right down to freshly cut flowers from the garden placed in a dainty vase on the breakfast table to the hospitality tray being replenished every day, not forgetting to mention the wine and whiskey glasses placed in the room to accommodate our little night caps! Breakfast is lovingly cooked and presented by Anne, all local produce and you can have a choice of cereals too. Never, have we felt so relaxed and welcome and we thank you both with all our hearts. Anne & Paul were the perfect hosts and made us feel very much at home. The little touches make the difference such as tea & coffee making facilities in your room with fresh milk every day; a good choice of biscuits to accompany the tea & coffee; and occasional treats left for us such as fresh strawberries, or cake! The shower room had been added to the bedroom and was very confined. Not enough hot water for a shower for 2 people but still got charged the full price. Room felt cold as was the shower room.
