My husband and I got married at Bellows Mill on 11.06.22 and we cannot recommend the venue enough! So many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. It has everything you need from the beautiful barn to the picturesque grounds and the lovely accommodation.
Elaine was fantastic, we couldnāt have asked for a better wedding co-ordinator. She is totally unflappable! She took the time to get to know us as a couple. We even had the pleasure of visiting Elaine and Paulās lovely home where they cooked us dinner and we sampled many a cocktail (all in aid of deciding on our personal bride and groom signature cocktails).
We had numerous meetings in the build up to the wedding and it really helped us plan on how we could best use the space. One of the best things about Bellows Mill is the flexibility you get, itās such a versatile space and you can really make it your own. So many venues nowadays have you in and out of the door in matter of hours but at Bellows you get the whole weekend, giving you time to set up and relax with your friends the night before, you also have ample time to pack up the day after (Elaine and her team helped us massively with this, packing up decor to save us time).
The heritage bar, run by Paul, was absolutely perfect. Not only did it look amazing but the drinks were delicious!
The day went smoothly and I knew Elaine was on top of everything. We both had so much fun, from bridesmaids vs groomsmen beer pong to an impromptu limbo competition on the dance floor. The day was filled with so much joy. It was absolutely perfect - thanks, in large part, to the team at Bellows Mill.
We honestly canāt thank Elaine, Paul, Rachael, and the rest of the team enough. It was truly the best possible venue for our wedding and we will 100% be visiting to stay for a night or two in future!
Thank you all so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom start to finish, the accommodation provided was exactly as expected. We'd previously viewed to check before booking so this wasn't that much of a surprise. It is however, good to see their high standards are maintained across the intervening 8 month gap). ||The location is amazing. We knew that because we'd previously viewed the place. What is great to see is the way it is thoughtfully being maintained, and gently 'grown' in a careful and sustainable way. Just delightful!||What makes this venue a special place is the incredible people who care for it. Rachel, who oversees, is friendly, approachable and focussed on making sure your stay is first rate. The reason our break was made even more enjoyable was the supportive and gently interactive help from both Shelley and Jay. They are the 'lubrication' which helps you seamlessly flow from 'a break' into a completely restful and enjoyable get away.||I can be critical when asked to be . . . however, I seriously can|not think of anything negative to say (not that I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor the first 22 years of my life, I dwelt at 2 Beacon Avenue, Dunstable. Last weekend, Susan and I spent a long weekend at the farm that was "Bellows Mill only" on the sign which led down to the Mill below Doolittle Mill on the clear chalk stream that flows from the base of the chalk opposite the London Gliding Club through Edlesborough Ford through Eaton Bray, Northall, Slapton and Grove. The haunts of my early childhood and adolescence. The Mill is gone, but Trustee Rachel now oversees what was her father's tenant farm, home and place of work. We shared the venue with other formerly local people - like me - re-exploring their bygone pasts. We stayed in 'The Shepherds Hut' - the sheep are gone now - and made our own breakfast the dined at such local pubs as The Old Farm Inn, The Cross Keys and The White Horse. I felt as Charles Causley did in Launceston. It is the place, as Rick Stein remarks "where I...
