Highly recommend Binnilidh Mhor if you are looking for a safe place to spend your holiday or would like a few days away during these extraordinary times.
Hosts Sheila and Allan allow a 72 hour gap between guests and only one household/social bubble stay at any one time, this made us relax and feel safe knowing that we were the only guests.
The large rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable as was the rest of the property. Non touch hand sanitizer was available in the rooms and guest areas. The rooms and guest areas were cleaned, disinfected and fogged. Sheila and Allan wore face coverings when speaking to us and when cleaning, preparing and serving our meals. They also took on the responsibility of social distancing to give priority of movement to us as guests.
Prior to our stay an information email alongside the breakfast menu was sent via email and during the stay WhatsApp or email could be used to reduce face to face contact. Breakfast was fabulous with a good choice on the menu. If you prefer to eat evening meals as a takeaway meal instead of eating at a restaurant the food can be brought back and eaten in the dining area.
The B&B is located in a lovely quiet setting with an abundance of wildlife and is an excellent base to explore the highlands. It was great that we were the only guests which made us feel safe and...
Read moreAllan and Sheila have done a wonderful job setting up and maintaining a truly charming location. Though the narrow access road makes it a bit tricky to find—there’s limited space for signage—once you reach the gate, a large sign clearly marks the entrance.|The property is spotless and beautifully blends modern amenities with the character of a traditional house. Surrounded by peaceful greenery and trees, it feels like a little slice of heaven.|Parking is available in the courtyard, conveniently close to the rooms. Breakfast is tasty, though the ordering process could be simplified—currently, each guest must fill out a form to select their menu. I’m confident Allan and Sheila will find a way to make this more user-friendly and paperless.|One small regret was discovering too late that dinner was available. This wasn’t clearly communicated on the booking site or promoted during our stay.|All in all, it was a delightful experience. If I return to Scotland, I’ll certainly do my best to...
Read moreWhat a lovely find! We were heading back to Inverness to fly home after a magical 3 days on the West Coast and on Skye, so sadly only stayed here one night. We had dinner in the evening on arrival, which was beautifully prepared, and generous. Allan is a Masterchef in the making! Breakfast the next morning was equally delicious.
Nothing is left to chance at this well managed B&B, Sheila has a great eye for detail. We had filtered fresh water, full tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk in the small fridge, sockets with USB point, and much more - all in a very comfortable and spacious room. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, with a state of the art shower, even told you what time it was! Again, every item you may need was there for you.
We would stay again...
