Blackthorn Gate — Hotel in Great Britain

Fantastic first experience of staying at a cabin, on a working farm with fabulous fishing lakes.

The cabin is spacious, well-planned and makes the most of the beautiful countryside featured from the lounge and veranda. There is the hot tub which we hope to use on our next visit, and a sauna room. We need to note that if your 14 year old is 6'4", it's best to remember they'd be a tight fit in to a bunk bed!

The unexpected highlight was seeing trains pass by on unseen tracks a few fields away, but across our view. Other highlights - the view, the sounds and sight of wildlife, the walks particularly the woodland where we saw a deer...

A great central location with easy, quick access to the East coast and North-East England.

WOW is the word for these Cabins and location. Having stayed in many beautiful log cabins all to a high spec i must say Blackthorne gate has it all. Owners are wonderful nothing is to much trouble you only have to ask. Cabin Clean spacious well equipped even had hoover and mop and bucket, to some this may not be a priority however for us it is having our dog we like to keep cabin clean during our stay, leave as you find. Hot tub fab with amazing views and sauna a bonus gym which we used after our stint up the Toppings. Farm is wonderful for both adults & children. Three well stocked ponds for fishing lovely walk around the land looking at all nature has to offer. A weekend treat from the Wife for my 51st birthday, we stayed on site the whole weekend. Got up 04:50 Saturday morning and sat out on the decking with a hot drink and watched the sun rise behind Roseberry Topping till 08:30, it's was something that I've always wanted to do but had never found the time or location, took a photo every ten minutes (got some great pictures). Sunday morning we got a visit from one of your Meet and Greet team, a very friendly Tabby cat who stayed with us on the decking for an hour or so. All in all for stressful recent times it was just what the Doctor ordered. Been twice before and will definitely visit again. Thank you. P. S saw the Barn Owl hunting...
