We had a lovely Easter weekend at Blaeberry Cottage with our two labradors. The enclosed garden was perfect for them to run about with our son, and they loved the long forest walk from the doorstep. The humans all enjoyed the hot tub but my favourite thing was the view, I wish I could have brought it home with me! I'll miss sitting with my cup of tea looking out over the hills. We were able to park the car and not move all weekend, except for our two hour walks through the forest, which was exactly what we wanted. The owner was lovely and provided us with a welcome basket of milk, butter, eggs, bread, cereals, jams and some Easter treats, along with tea, coffee and sugar. The dogs also got biscuits and a ball. Lots of extras provided - dog towels, poo bags, cleaning products, handwash, salt/pepper, tin foil, kitchen roll, toilet rolls etc. The cottage feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, but Annadale Water service station is only an eight-minute drive away and they have a small M&S food at the BP garage for stocking up on essentials (along with McDonald's and Costa). The cottage itself was cosy with comfortable beds, and the fire was lit for our arrival. We had a lovely relaxing stay and would definitely return!

On entering the living room when we arrived the fire was roaring away. There was also a lovely welcome pack with eggs, milk, bread, biscuits and cereals. The cottage was spotless and the hot tub was amazing.

Plenty of walks to take the dogs out and about. The enclosed garden was also great thing as the field opposite the cottage has a lot of sheep in it.

We really appreciate the effort the hosts put into keeping the cottage beautiful.

Highly...

We had another great holiday here. Cottage, hot tub, garden and football field are all brilliant. Louise is lovely and provided great welcome baskets for us and for the dogs. We did day trips to Moffat, Dumfries, Pooley Bridge and Glenridding in the Lake District, Silloth WEST beach and Silloth prom and Gretna (caledonia park) outlet village. looking forward to visiting...
